20 Anime To Watch If You Love Bleach

Bleach is one of the most iconic shounen anime in existence. This action anime is fascinating because of the sword fights and varied perspectives on life and death. Regrettably, it came to a close without concluding an entire arc that had been left unfinished! Fortunately, when it was announced that Bleach would be returning, every Bleach fan was ecstatic. While you wait for that sweet release, we’ve put up a list of similar anime series to keep you occupied.

Bleach follows Ichigo Kurosaki, an everyday high school student, until his family is attacked by a Hollow, a malevolent spirit set on devouring human souls. He then encounters Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper who’d been injured while protecting Ichigo’s family from the assailant. Ichigo accepts Rukia’s offer to take her powers in order to save his family, and as a result, he becomes a Soul Reaper.

However, because Rukia is unable to reclaim her powers, Ichigo is tasked with tracking down the Hollows who plague their town. He is not, however, alone in his fight, as he is ultimately joined by his classmates, Yasutora Sado, Orihime Inoue, and Uryuu Ishida, each of whom possesses unique abilities.

The young Soul Reaper realizes that the Hollows aren’t the only serious threat to humanity as he and his teammates adjust to their new responsibilities and aid one another both on and off the battlefield.

    YuuYuuHakusho

    Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho

Yuusuke Urameshi, a delinquent who is 14-years-old with a grim future, is given a miracle chance to change his life when he throws himself in front of a moving automobile to save a small kid one fateful day. The spirit realm’s authorities are baffled by his ultimate sacrifice because it is so out of character and aren’t ready to let him pass on yet.

Yuusuke is offered the chance to reclaim his life by completing a series of tasks by Koenma, the heir to the spirit realm’s throne. Under the leadership of the death god Botan, he is tasked with thwarting evil presences on Earth as a Spirit Detective.

Yuusuke enlists the help of an ex-rival, Kazuma Kuwabara, as well as two demons with criminal histories, Hiei and Kurama. They train and battle together against enemies who would endanger humanity’s very existence.

Yu Yu Hakusho is a highly recommended show in this category for anyone who enjoys well-constructed fighting/action anime in general. The anime is a shounen, and as such, it contains some typical shounen clichés.

The title does manage to come up with unique and inventive ideas, as well as a superb story and dialogue, and with a sense of humor far beyond what should be expected from a shounen title.

Each of the characters has a strong identity. Yu Yu Hakusho’s characters may appear to have one-dimensional roles at first glance, but you will see that they have much more to them than meets the eye.

It isn’t just about the main character getting stronger and always being the hero in this show. Several of the characters show a great deal of character development, and the way in which the characters interact with each other, as well as their similarities and differences, make for very balanced chemistry between the characters.

    Naruto

    Naruto

The Nine-Tailed Fox, or Kyuubi, attacked Konohagakure, the Hidden Leaf Village, just prior to Naruto Uzumaki’s birth. In order to end the Kyuubi’s rampage, the village’s leader, the Fourth Hokage, sacrificed himself by sealing the monster within the newborn Naruto.

Naruto is now a hyperactive and knuckle-headed ninja in Konohagakure. Naruto struggles to find his place in the village after being shunned because of the Kyuubi within him, while his burning desire to become the Hokage of Konohagakure leads him not just to some wonderful new friends but also to some deadly enemies.

The anime features martial arts fight scenes and a tone that occasionally shifts between serious and lighthearted, depending on the background and buildup. Naruto is a character you can relate to, and even his supporting cast is well-written. Seeing the characters develop over time is also rewarding.

Naruto stands out because of its character development and is probably one of the best in its category. In the same breath, as it captures the excitement of being a child, it also conveys the pain of being alone. The tone of the show alternates between dramatic and humorous, taking you on an emotional journey.

Naruto contains some of the best battles ever written and drawn in anime history, in addition to being packed with action. Due to the depth of the writing, many of the dialogues end up going down in history as life-changing quotes.

There’s no doubt that every anime fan has seen or heard of Naruto; it’s a true classic.

    Jujutsu Kaisen

    Jujutsu Kaisen

Yuuji Itadori, a high schooler who indulges in baseless paranormal activities with the Occult Club, spends his days in either the clubroom or the hospital, visiting his bedridden grandfather. When he unknowingly comes across a cursed item, this leisurely lifestyle takes a sudden turn for the strange.

A chain of supernatural events ensues after Yuuji swallows the said object, which turns out to be a finger belonging to the demon Sukuna Ryoumen, the “King of Curses.” As a result, he finds himself thrust into the world of Curses, dreadful creatures fashioned from human malice and negativity.

When Yuuji discovers his own newfound powers, he experiences the threat these Curses pose to society firsthand. Introduced to the Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical High School, he begins to walk down a path from which he cannot return—the path of a Jujutsu sorcerer.

Jujutsu Kaisen quickly gained popularity after its inception. If you’re a fan of shounen or not, you’ll enjoy this show. There’s more to it than shounen.

The plot of Jujutsu Kaisen is not lacking. Throughout the story, the main character isn’t interested in becoming the leader of the village, group, etc. Throughout the story, the boy wants to die peacefully, he wants to make others happy, and he wants to be remembered as a good person. Having a connection with a character can make watching a show even more enjoyable, and this is another great aspect of this anime.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s world-building and power system are unique and have an interesting concept. The power system is based on cursed energy. This energy is derived from negative emotions or spiteful intentions. It is these negative emotions that produce negative energy that can be used for attacking. There’s more to come from this anime, and it will leave you satisfied overall.

    Busou Renkin

    Busou Renkin

The story begins when Kazuki Muto, a high school student, is killed while defending a mysterious girl from a monster one night, only to wake up in his school dorm, believing it was all a dream; however, when a large serpentine monster attacks him and his sister, he realizes it wasn’t a dream at all.

The girl he saved, Tokiko Tsumura, explains that the monster is a homunculus. When he was rescuing her, it attacked and killed him; however, she felt responsible for him and restored him by implanting a Kakugane medallion in his chest, which served as a new heart.

Tokiko says that the Kakugane is an alchemical device that, when activated, takes on the shape of the Kakugane’s user, resulting in a unique Buso Renkin. Only the Buso Renkin has the ability to annihilate a homunculus monster. Kazuki uses this to make his own Buso Renkin, the “Sunlight Heart,” a massive lance. Kazuki enters the fight against the homunculi and their master alongside Tokiko and her own Buso Renkin, the “Valkyrie Skirt,” an execution scythe.

Busou Renkin’s story is a fairly simple “us” vs “them” story. But it’s how it’s done that makes the story so good. Despite the fact that there aren’t many plot twists, the plot manages to keep the audience guessing. What will happen next? Who is the major antagonist? What strategy will they use to defeat them? All of these questions are posed, and the answers vary based on the episode you’re watching.

Characters are what really makes this series shine. They are unique, and there are enough of them for everyone to find at least one character to love or hate.

    D.Gray-man

    D.Gray-man

The pain of losing loved ones can be so devastating that it’s natural to hope for the ability to resurrect them—a weakness that the enigmatic Millennium Earl takes advantage of. He uses the souls of the dead who are called back to create his mechanical weapons known as “Akuma.” Once a soul is trapped in an Akuma, it cannot be exorcised, and the only way to save them is to use the Anti-Akuma weapon “Innocence” to exorcise them from their vessel.

Allen Walker is assigned to the Black Order to become an official Exorcist after three years as a disciple of General Cross. The Black Order is an organization made up of those willing to battle Akuma and the Millennium Earl. Allen and his fellow Exorcists must stop the Millennium Earl’s ultimate plot, which could lead to the world’s destruction, with an arm as his Innocence and a cursed eye that can see the suffering souls within an Akuma.

On the surface, D. Gray-Man sounds like just another shounen anime with an organization of good guys with special weapons fighting evil monsters. Yeah, that’s the base of it, but it turns into something more, something deeper than much other shounen anime series.

While the setting is standard shounen all the way, you’ll find yourself surprised when watching this show. It starts off a bit slow, with many fights, small arcs, and nothing special to it. However, it quickly picks up and starts to show its qualities. The story soon blends in action, emotions, and, last but not least, realistic power-ups.

The characters are, without a doubt, the strongest point of this anime. The characters here aren’t all about brawling against the evil guys. They have emotions. Emotions which they have to face. And that’s what makes this anime a bit more character-driven and not so much plot-driven.

    Kimetsu no Yaiba

    Kimetsu no Yaiba

Tanjirou Kamado has been shouldering the responsibility of supporting his family since his father’s death. The Kamado family, while living in poverty on a remote mountain, is able to live a relatively tranquil and happy life. One day, Tanjirou decides to sell charcoal in the nearby village to top up his earnings.

Night falls when Tanjirou returns, forcing him to seek shelter in the home of a strange man, who warns him of flesh-eating demons lurking in the woods at night.

When he returns home the next day, he discovers a horrific sight: his entire family has been slaughtered. Worse, his sister Nezuko has been transformed into a bloodthirsty demon, leaving him as the sole survivor. Tanjirou promises to avenge his family and stick by his sole remaining sibling, consumed by fury and vengeance.

Tanjirou will go to any length to battle the demons and safeguard the last remnants of his beloved sister’s humanity, working alongside the mysterious Demon Slayer Corps.

You don’t always need a complex plot and a large cast of characters for a show to be good. Kimetsu no Yaiba proves this perfectly. For fans of dark fantasy adventures, it is like a love letter.

Tanjirou Kamado, our main protagonist, is a pretty straightforward character, just as the narrative is. He is kind, gentle, selfless, and caring.

While his determination in the face of overwhelming odds is admirable, it is very typical of protagonists in shounen. The love he bears for his family is one of his most defining characteristics. He will go to any length to keep his sister, Nezuko, safe, the only family he has left.

    Soul Eater

    Soul Eater

The Death Weapon Meister Academy, a technical academy led by the Shinigami—Lord Death himself—is located in Death City. Its goal is to raise “Death Scythes” for the Shinigami to use against the fantastical world’s numerous evils.

However, these Death Scythes are not made from physical weapons; but are born from human hybrids with the capacity to change their bodies into Demon Weapons, and only after they’ve consumed the souls of 99 evil beings and one witch’s soul.

Soul Eater Evans is a Demon Scythe who only seems to care about what’s cool, and desires to become a Death Scythe with the help of his straight-laced wielder or meister, Maka Albarn. The duo study and works alongside  Death the Kid, the Shinigami’s own son, who is an obsessive-compulsive dual wielder of twin pistols Patty and Liz, and the hotheaded Black Star and his caring weapon Tsubaki.

Soul Eater follows these Shibusen students as they go on missions to collect souls and safeguard the city from external threats, all while working together under the scorching sun to improve their mental, physical, and spiritual growth.

This sounds pretty formulaic, nothing you haven’t seen before. It may seem that this is the main goal in the first few episodes, but soon after, you will realize there is actually a deeper story developing. Soul Eater isn’t a complex or clever story, but what happens during the story makes it watchable and interesting. The action is always present, and there’s humor, but there can also be serious moments when required.

In this anime, the characters are the heart of the story. Soul Eater is renowned for its characters. The cast is colorful. Even the supporting cast is memorable. Almost every character gives you at least one reason for liking or disliking them.

    Claymore

    Claymore

When “youma,” a shapeshifting demon with a hunger for human flesh, appears in Raki’s village, a lone woman with silver eyes and a sword on her back wanders into town. She is a “Claymore,” a half-human, half-youma being created for the sole goal of eradicating these monsters.

The Claymore saves Raki’s life after his family is slaughtered, but he is then exiled from his village. When there’s nowhere else to go, Raki finds Clare, the Claymore, and decides to accompany her on her adventures.

Clare’s organization and her fellow warriors are unveiled as the two journey from town to town, defeating youma along the way. They get closer to the youma on which Clare has sought vengeance since she chose to become a Claymore as each village is cleansed and every demon destroyed.

Claymore is a shounen show with its classic plots – revenge, skilling up/powering up, mentors who train, and someone that comes out and help during the most desperate-to-the-urgency-of-death situation. The most obvious twist is that all of the strong characters are women; all of the roles that would normally be occupied by men in traditional shounen are filled by women in this scenario.

It differs from much other shounen in that it does not drag on and on, giving out pointless battles and tournaments. That means everyone the main character has to fight has a good reason to be there, and some of them do return later, as in many shounen shows, but not because they just do, or because they simply want to come back for another round, but these characters all have reasons, some forced, some by choice, and some by both.

    Noragami

    Noragami

If you look in the right place in a crisis, you might find a strange phone number scrawled in red. You will hear a young man announce himself as the Yato God if you dial this number.

Yato is a minor god who calls himself the “Delivery God,” who aspires to be worshipped by millions of people. Without a single shrine devoted to his name, his dreams are unlikely to be realized. His days are spent doing odd chores for five yen each until his weapon partner tires of his useless master and abandons him.

Just as things appear to be going poorly for the god, Hiyori Iki, a middle school girl, supposedly saves Yato from a car accident by absorbing the hit for him. Even though she survives, the incident has caused her soul to loosen and therefore be able to escape her body.

Hiyori demands that Yato restore her to normalcy, but when she learns that he’ll need a new partner to do it, she reluctantly agrees to assist him in his search. And, with Hiyori’s support, Yato’s luck may be changing for the better.

The plotlines in Noragami flow seamlessly with each other both in terms of pacing and execution. It moves the story forward very quickly, save for some comic relief and character introductions here and there. It even has a few really dark undertones.

It makes you realize how lonely living can be, how painful it is to be forgotten and how you want to be remembered.

Every character in this series is well fleshed out, well developed, and is not one-dimensional at all. Noragami offers something for everybody. You will find action, drama, comedy, and fantasy in this series. Because the show is more character-driven, its small cast of characters portrays human behaviors in a relatable manner.

    Fairy Tail

    Fairy Tail

Fiore is a mystical land where magic permeates every aspect of daily life. Magic guilds are at the core of all magical activity, and they act as venues for like-minded mages to band together and accept job requests. Fairy Tail stands out among the others as a place of strength, spirit, and family.

A young mage named Lucy Heartfilia is on the hunt for celestial gate keys, and the goal of her life is to become a full-fledged wizard by joining this renowned guild. During her search, she meets Natsu Dragneel and his partner Happy. They are on a quest to find Natsu’s foster father, the dragon Igneel.

Lucy falls victim to an abduction attempt after she is tricked by a man, only to be saved by Natsu. She is shocked to discover he is a member of Fairy Tail, and he invites her to join. She meets strange members of the guild, including the ice wizard Gray Fullbuster and the magic swordswoman Erza Scarlet. As a family, they face evil together, help those in need, and make new friends, all the while enjoying Fairy Tail’s never-ending adventure.

The unique quality of Fairy Tail is that it is good despite all the clichés in the plot. Generic shounens are not bad, and Fairy Tail capitalizes on the aspects we love about them.

Considering how many characters appear in this story, it seems there wouldn’t be enough time to tell the story of everyone. All of them receive plenty of screen time, despite not being the main characters. In most cases, Natsu, Grey, Lucy, and Happy will be the ones being followed, but you will also see that everyone else will be included.

    Black Clover

    Black Clover

On the same day, Asta and Yuno were abandoned at the same church. They were raised together as children and learned about the “Wizard King”—a title awarded to the kingdom’s strongest mage—and pledged to compete for the position of the future Wizard King.

As they grew older, though, the obvious difference between them became apparent. While Yuno can wield magic with incredible power and control, Asta is unable to do so and must rely on physical training to try to awaken his powers.

Yuno receives a magnificent Grimoire with a four-leaf clover when they reach the age of 15, while Asta receives nothing. Soon later, Yuno is attacked by a person named Lebuty, who is only interested in Yuno’s Grimoire. Asta makes an attempt to attack Lebuty, but he is outmatched.

When he hears Yuno’s voice, he finds the strength to persevere even though he is hopeless and on the verge of defeat. Asta receives a five-leaf clover Grimoire, a “Black Clover,” which gives him the power to defeat Lebuty after releasing his inner emotions in a rage. After a few days, the two companions go out into the world with the same objective in mind: to become the Wizard King!

The story of Asta’s journey is well written and extremely satisfying. We feel like we have been on this journey with Asta all along. Everyone enjoys a feel-good underdog story. There has never been a bigger underdog than Black Clover.

The no power vs. all power dynamic is evident, but their interactions with one another are smooth and unique to Black Clover. There is a refreshing blend of personalities and traits among the Magic Knights and their squads.

    One Piece

    One Piece

Gol D. Roger was renowned as the “Pirate King,” the Grand Line’s strongest and most infamous seaman. The World Government’s capture and execution of Roger ushered in a time of global revolution. His final words said just before his death, disclosed the existence of the world’s greatest treasure, One Piece.

This revelation ushered in the Grand Age of Pirates, with men dreaming of discovering One Piece, which promised an endless supply of wealth and fame, as well as the possibility of attaining the pinnacle of grandeur and the title of Pirate King.

The protagonist Monkey D. Luffy, a 17-year-old boy who defies the stereotype of a pirate, is then presented. The reason Luffy has for being a pirate is pure wonder: the thought of an exciting adventure that leads him to intriguing people and, eventually, the promised treasure. Rather than the prevalent image of a ruthless, toothless pirate destroying towns for amusement.

Following in the footsteps of his childhood hero, Luffy and his crew go across the Grand Line, encountering outrageous adventures, uncovering dark mysteries, and fighting formidable foes, all in the pursuit of the most desired of all fortunes—One Piece.

As Luffy discovers each new member, you’ll fall in love with them. All of them are extremely well-developed, with interesting backstories and unique personalities. The crew is always discovering new adventures and getting into trouble as they strive to accomplish their dreams. The main story arcs also introduce new minor characters, and they are just as fun and easy to love as the Straw Hat crew.

The characters are not left out or feel as if they are there without purpose. Every character contributes to the storyline, and one of the great things about One Piece is that these ‘purposes’ often reappear at later points in the series.

    Gintama

    Gintama

Aliens from outer space, known as the Amanto, have invaded Earth and taken control of feudal Japan. As a result, a sword prohibition has been enacted, and Japan’s samurai have been viewed with contempt as a result.

However, one man, Gintoki Sakata, still has the heart of a samurai, despite his love of sweets and profession as a yorozuya. Kagura, with her umbrella and seemingly boundless stomach, Shinpachi Shimura, a boy with a strong heart and glasses, and Sadaharu, their oversized pet dog, accompany him in his jack-of-all-trades line of work.

These unusual jobs aren’t always simple, as they frequently have run-ins with the police, ragtag rebels, and assassins, which often result in amusing but terrible outcomes.

    Who said errand-running was simple?

There is no doubt that the story is a bit haphazard, although Gintama is certainly consistent in its approach. The main story revolves around Gintoki and his friends, Shimura Shinpachi and Kagura, as they do odd jobs for people, argue or fight with the Shinsengumi, drink strawberry milkshakes, and try to make their small contribution to the world.

Most of the episodes don’t get any more serious than that. Gintama’s haphazard approach to the story is a purposeful measure that works well primarily because it is a comedy series. While there are some story arcs that occur during the course of the show, Gintama never loses its sense of humor despite its serious and dramatic content.

A major strength of this series is the comedy, not just in its style and delivery but also in its content. Although the series is packed with parodies, it is always engaging so that the viewer doesn’t feel like a joke has gone over their heads.

    Ao no Exorcist

    Ao no Exorcist

Humans and demons are the two faces of the same coin, as are Assiah and Gehenna, their respective worlds. Like in ghost stories, possession is the only means to travel between realms. When Satan, the king of Gehenna, is unable to find a suitable host, he remains imprisoned in his realm.

In a last-ditch effort to conquer Assiah, he sends his son instead, hoping for him to grow into a vessel that the demon king can control.

Ao no Exorcist follows Rin Okumura, who seems to be a typical yet troubled teenager until he is ambushed by demons one day. When he gets to know that he is Satan’s son and that his demon father wants him to return so they can conquer Assiah together, his life is flipped entirely upside down.

Instead of joining the ruler of Gehenna, Rin decides to train as an exorcist so that he can fight alongside his brother Yukio to defend Assiah together.

The storyline with respect to the characters and their motivations is actually believable. This isn’t some far-fetched idea with characters who have no relation to the plot. As a result, the way Ao no Exorcist’s story is intertwined with and through the characters is very realistic, and this makes the story very enjoyable to watch.

Rin has a well-developed character who stays true to his motivations and personality. His character supports his actions and vice versa. He wants to become stronger and deny his demon self because he was not brought up in a demon-like way, and the demons have harmed his family. He provides comic relief with his slacker attitude. The story is extremely compelling, and the characters are funny and genuine.

    Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Kenkaku Romantan

    Rurouni Kenshin Meiji Kenkaku Romantan

Hitokiri Battousai was a renowned assassin who lived during the final years of the Bakumatsu era. He was feared as a ruthless killer throughout the country, yet he inexplicably vanished at the height of the Japanese Revolution. Even though it has been ten years since then, the mere mention of Battousai still fills war veterans with dread.

Battousai, unbeknownst to them, has abandoned his murderous lifestyle in an attempt to atone for his sins and is now known as Kenshin Himura, a traveling swordsman with a positive outlook and a strong determination. Kenshin swears to never kill again and dedicates his life to defending the helpless.

He meets Kaoru Kamiya at her kendo dojo one day, which is being attacked by an impostor posing as Battousai. Following Kenshin’s help, Kaoru permits him to stay at the dojo, and the former assassin temporarily stops traveling.

Rurouni Kenshin follows Kenshin as he tries to help individuals who are in need. Will the repentant killer be able to keep his new values when old and new foes emerge from the past and present?

The story is deep, intricate, emotional, and touching. Everything from romance, action, suspense, and even some thriller is included in Rurouni Kenshin. Overall this is definitely one of the classic shounen anime series that every shounen anime fan must watch. There is a great deal of action, comedy, and drama, with a superb story to back it up.

Character-wise, Rurouni Kenshin is a real masterpiece. The characters – even some of the bad ones have pasts that have deeply affected how they act in the present. These pasts, which serve as a motivation for their present actions, adds depth to the characters, and it’s easier to sympathize with them – even the bad ones.

    Shakugan no Shana

    Shakugan no Shana

The Crimson Denizens are mysterious beings from a parallel universe who survive on the life energy of humans and have turned the world into a slaughterhouse.

These ruthless killers only leave behind a few souls known as “Torches,” which are nothing more than remnants that will be erased along with the victims’ very existence from the minds of the living. Warriors known as Flame Hazes fight these monsters fiercely in an attempt to put an end to this invisible, hungry massacre.

Yuuji Sakai stops being an ordinary high school student one fateful day when he becomes stuck in a rift in time and is attacked by a Denizen. A nameless hunter, who appears to be no different from an ordinary young girl save for her fiery eyes and burning crimson hair, arrives just in time to save him. However, Yuuji realizes that he has already been reduced to a Torch—a sliver of memory waiting to be extinguished—before he can learn anything more about his situation.

While Shakugan no Shana may appear to be just another anime about a protagonist being thrown into a world he never knew existed at first glance, it actually stands out from the crowd, if only for the dramatic introduction to the story’s premise.

The characters are what bring this anime to life. Because of the show’s “non-rushing” style, each character, even minor ones, will have their own backstory, and we learn more about their personalities and “behind thoughts” over time. As a result, we get a group of brilliantly designed characters that feel incredibly real and believable.

Shakugan no Shana is a show that is incredibly successful in every area, even if it isn’t quite a masterpiece.

    InuYasha

    InuYasha

A demon drags Kagome Higurashi down a cursed well on the grounds of her family’s Shinto shrine, turning her life upside down. Rather than reaching the bottom of the well, Kagome goes 500 years back in time to Japan’s brutal Sengoku era, where the demon’s actual goal, the Shikon Jewel, a wish-granting diamond, is reborn inside her.

After a struggle with a revived demon shatters the sacred jewel, Kagome enlists the help of Inuyasha, a young hybrid dog-demon/human, to collect the shards and prevent them from falling into the wrong hands.

The intelligent monk Miroku, the orphan fox-demon Shippo, and the lethal demon slayer Sango joins Kagome and Inuyasha on their quest. They put their differences aside and cooperate to locate the power-granting shards scattered around feudal Japan, as well as deal with the threats that arise.

Throughout the story, Inuyasha, Kagome, and their companions are explored in a methodical way to deepen our understanding of them. Furthermore, despite the show’s enormous length, it is full of plot twists, so even after figuring out the outcome, the story remains interesting.

The anime includes both heartbreaking emotional scenes and action-packed battle sequences. The legacy of Inuyasha has remained strong over time. Thanks to its incredible soundtrack, visuals, plot, and detailed character development, it will remain a favorite anime around the world.

What makes anime so popular is the great character drama and development that occurs between the characters. There are a number of emotions you can feel when watching Inuyasha. It’s an amazing story. There are a variety of genres in this story, resulting in a fantastic story anyone can enjoy and admire.

    Death Note

    Death Note

As a god of death, shinigami can kill anyone as long as they see the face of the victim and write the victim’s name in a notebook called a Death Note. Ryuk, bored with his shinigami way of life and curious to see what a human would do with a Death Note, drops one into the human realm one day.

After stumbling upon the Death Note, prodigy student Light Yagami tests it by writing in the name of a criminal since he deplores the state of the world. After the criminal dies as a result of his experiment with the Death Note, Light is greatly surprised and realizes the power that he now possesses can be devastating.

As a result of this divine power, Light decides to extinguish all criminals in order to create a world with no crime and people worshipping him as a god.

However, the police soon realize that a serial killer is targeting criminals and consequently attempt to apprehend the perpetrator. In order to accomplish this, the Japanese investigators enlist the assistance of the world’s best detective: a young, eccentric man known only as L.

L and Light are the most fascinating and intellectual characters ever seen in an anime. Despite both being geniuses, you’ll root for one of them to win the game despite their similarity.

You want to watch Light’s conquests and failures for his charismatic yet demented character. The quirky yet highly intelligent qualities of L do the same for you. In their own way, both are likable and unique.

Once you finish this anime, you’ll wonder what you would have done with a Death Note. People will debate and question the actions of Light. The anime shines due to its walkability and complexity, in addition to its ability to build suspense and anticipation in its viewers.

    Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

    Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

Tsunayoshi Sawada isn’t any good, to put it lightly. He’s clumsy, talentless, and hopelessly in love with Kyouko Sasagawa, the school’s idol, a girl far out of his league. His classmates have dubbed him “Loser Tsuna,” and he appears to be the personification of failure disguised as a middle-schooler.

When Tsuna meets the mysterious Reborn, his life is flipped upside down; Reborn just so happens to be a hitman and, more shockingly, a baby! Reborn is sent from Italy’s most powerful Mafia family with the difficult task of training the drab middle schooler to succeed the legendary Vongola family’s ninth leader, who is about to retire.

Loser Tsuna has a long way ahead of him, but with the support of his new criminal associates and his odd home tutor, he might just succeed.

    Tokyo Ghoul

    Tokyo Ghoul

Tokyo has evolved into a terrible and brutal city, where vicious creatures known as “ghouls” coexist with humans. These bloodthirsty savages and their hunger for human flesh keep the people of this once great metropolis in continuous terror. The greatest threat posed by these ghouls, however, is their dangerous ability to pass for humans and blend in with society.

Ken Kaneki, a quiet, bookish college student, is drawn to Rize Kamishiro, an avid reader like himself, in Tokyo Ghoul. Rize, however, is not who she appears to be, and Kaneki is thrown into the horrible world of the ghouls as a result of this tragic encounter. Kaneki is saved by Touka Kirishima, an enigmatic waitress, and thus begins his new, secret life as a half-ghoul/half-human who must find a way to fit into both societies.

Have you ever expected to root for man-eaters in an anime? If you say no, Tokyo Ghoul is here to prove you wrong. Tokyo Ghoul is an excellent anime that will keep you on your toes. It is most likely to appeal to gore enthusiasts because of its darkness and gore, but it can be enjoyed by anyone.

Although the premise of gaining new powers and meeting new people is not new to anime, Tokyo Ghoul does so in an extremely effective manner. It emphasizes that there is no clear line between good and evil and that it all depends on one’s perspective. In a broader sense, it encourages us not to jump to judgments without first considering the situations and hardships that others are facing.

In addition to action-packed scenes, the show is filled with touching scenes in which people cry, scream, and talk to each other in a meaningful moral dialogue.

    Owari no Seraph

    Owari no Seraph

The appearance of a mysterious virus kills everyone above the age of 13, and mankind is enslaved by previously unseen, power-hungry vampires that emerge to conquer civilization in exchange for blood donations.

Yuuichirou and Mikaela Hyakuya, two young boys, taken from an orphanage, are among the survivors, along with other children they consider family. Mikaela, fed up with being treated like livestock under the vampires’ brutal dominion, devises a daring escape plan that eventually fails. Yuuichirou, the lone survivor, is discovered by the Moon Demon Company, a military organization dedicated to eradicating vampires in Japan.

Yuuichirou, now a member of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, is resolved to exact vengeance on the creatures that murdered his family, but at what cost?

This is a post-apocalyptic supernatural shounen anime about a young man’s quest for vengeance while also fighting for friendship and loyalty against seemingly impossible odds.

You won’t be dropped in the middle of the story when watching this anime. Rather, it establishes a background tale, a way to narrate past events. As we learn quickly, vampires treat humans as trash, and some of them only live because they have blood. The vampires rely on it as a food source, so it’s a classic gimmick.

The show basically sets up a war-like atmosphere between humans and vampires. While Yuuichirou is the main character, the show introduces other characters he meets as he trains to become stronger. There is a wide variety of characters, and the anime takes time to develop each and every character instead of focusing on just the protagonists.
