    20 Anime To Watch If You Love Fairy Tail

    With millions of fans worldwide, ‘Fairy Tail’ is undoubtedly one of the most well-known magic-fantasy anime series of all time. It is set in a world where mages form guilds and take on jobs, and magic is common. The Fairy Tail Guild is one such guild with members who have become more like family than teammates.

    Fairy Tail is an anime that has consistently made waves over the years. It has one of the largest fan bases in the anime community. The plot is lengthy but never dull. The story arcs are numerous, and the friendships that develop are heartwarming to watch. The series ran for a long time, from 2009 to 2019.

    The last season has already concluded, so we’re left to wonder what’s next, if anything, while we await the 100 Year Quest adaptation. If, like us, you’re looking for something to fill the void left by Fairy Tail, consider some of these options. 

    The story of the 100-year quest is still ongoing, and there are more anime series than ever that should appeal to Fairy Tail fans.

    The Holy Knights of Britannia use enormously powerful magic to protect the region of Britannia and its kingdoms in a world reminiscent of the European Middle Ages. In an attempt to overthrow Liones’ ruler, a small group of Knights allegedly betrayed their homeland and turned their swords against their comrades.

    The Holy Knights defeated them, but there were rumors that the legendary knights known as the “Seven Deadly Sins” were still alive. The Holy Knights, ten years later, staged their own coup and took control of the Kingdom of Liones.

    Nanatsu no Taizai follows Elizabeth, the third princess of the Kingdom of Liones, on her quest to find the Seven Deadly Sins. She seeks not only to reclaim her kingdom from the Holy Knights but also to seek justice in an unjust world with their help.

    2. Black Clover

    On the same day, both Asta and Yuno were abandoned at the same church. As children, they learned about the “Wizard King,” a title granted to the kingdom’s strongest mage, and vowed to compete for the title one day. The obvious contrast between them became apparent as they grew older, though. While Yuno can use magic with amazing power and control, Asta is unable to use magic at all and attempts desperately to awaken his abilities through physical training.

    Yuno is handed a magnificent Grimoire adorned with a four-leaf clover when they reach the age of 15, whereas Asta receives nothing. Yuno, however, is shortly attacked by Lebuty, who is out to take Yuno’s Grimoire. Asta fights against Lebuty, but he is overpowered.

    Despite the fact that he is hopeless and on the edge of defeat, he finds the strength to keep going when he hears Yuno’s voice. Asta, furious, unleashes his inner emotions and acquires a five-leaf clover Grimoire, dubbed the “Black Clover,” which grants him the power to defeat Lebuty. The two friends go out into the world a few days later with the same objective in mind: to become the Wizard King!

    Malevolent stones known as Dark Brings caused the “Overdrive,” a catastrophic event that wiped out one-tenth of the world fifty years ago. The nefarious organization Demon Card seeks the Dark Brings’ power for reasons other than good in the present day. 

    Haru Glory, a silver-haired sword-wielding teenager, is the Rave Master: the person who wields the power of the legendary Rave Stones, artifacts capable of destroying the Dark Brings. However, as a result of the Overdrive, the many Rave Stones were scattered across the globe, allowing Demon Card to continue their malpractices.

    Groove Adventure Rave follows Haru, his strange dog Plue, the fiery blonde Ellie, and the infamous thief Musica on a grand adventure that will take them around the vast world in search of the Rave Stones that will finally put an end to Demon Card’s injustice.

    4. Naruto

    When Naruto Uzumaki declares that he will one day become the Hokage, a title that is awarded to the best ninja in the Village Hidden in the Leaves, no one believes him. Naruto, since birth, has been shunned and mocked by his fellow villagers. 

    They despise Naruto not because he is loud-mouthed, mischievous, or inept at the ninja arts but because he has a demon inside him. The powerful and lethal Nine-Tailed Fox attacked the village before Naruto was born. To put an end to the rampage, the Fourth Hokage gave his life to seal the demon inside the newborn Naruto’s body.

    As a result, when he gets assigned to Team 7—along with his new companions, Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha, and mentored by veteran ninja Kakashi Hatake—Naruto is forced to work with others for the first time. Naruto must learn how to work as part of a team and forge his own path to becoming a full-fledged ninja recognized by his village by enduring rigorous training and completing difficult missions.

    The “Pirate King,” Gol D. Roger, was the most powerful and infamous figure to ever sail the Grand Line. When the World Government’s captured and executed Roger, it caused global upheaval. One Piece, the world’s greatest treasure, was disclosed in his final words before death.

    This discovery ushered in the Grand Age of Pirates, with men dreaming of finding One Piece, which promised an endless amount of wealth and fame, as well as perhaps the title of Pirate King and the pinnacle of grandeur.

    The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, a 17-year-old boy who is defying the pirate stereotype.     Death City is home to the well-known Death Weapon Meister Academy, a technical school led by the Shinigami—Lord Death himself. Its mission is to make “Death Scythes” for the Shinigami to fight the many evils of their fantastical world. 

    Death Scythes, however, aren’t physical weapons but formed by human hybrids that can transform into Demon Weapons after devouring 99 evil creatures and one witch’s soul.

    Soul Eater Evans, who seems to care only about what’s cool, wants to become a Death Scythe with the support of his straight-laced wielder or meister, Maka Albarn. The polar pair work and study alongside the hot-headed Black Star and his caring weapon Tsubaki, as well as Death the Kid, an obsessive-compulsive dual wielder of twin pistols Patty and Liz, and the Shinigami’s own son. 

    Throughout Soul Eater, these Shibusen students embark on missions to gather souls, safeguard the city from problems, and grow sound in mind, body, and soul, all while working together under the snickering sun.

    Shiki has spent his entire life surrounded by machines. In the Granbell Kingdom, a long-abandoned amusement park, he is the only one of his kind. Their goal is to create entertaining videos for their B-Cube channel, but instead, they find a friend in the socially awkward Shiki.

    When Granbell becomes too dangerous for them to handle, the three of them venture into the Sakura Cosmos. The two are determined to make more interesting videos and even find the elusive goddess Mother, while Shiki is inspired by his grandfather to make more friends. 

    Of course, the journey will be difficult because no one has ever seen Mother, but Shiki is determined to achieve his goal and explore the boundless reaches of space with his new friends. 

    8. Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic

    Magi are magicians who have such a strong affinity for magic that they can be said to shape the world. It is the Magi’s duty to determine who is worthy of becoming king and help them conquer mysterious labyrinths known as “Dungeons” to gain the power of mythical djinns within. 

    Most importantly, the Magi supervise their representatives in building a country that could bring the world to its knees one day.

    A young Magi named Aladdin travels the world searching for his true self. As he travels, his friend and mentor Ugo—a djinn he summons with his flute—accompany him. 

    During his travels, Aladdin meets and guides Alibaba Saluja to a nearby Dungeon. They begin on an epic journey around the world with this newfound friendship, encountering all kinds of irregularities that appear more frequently than ever.

    Hunters spend their lives doing dangerous jobs like tracking down rare items and monsters and exploring uncharted territory. A person must pass the Hunter Examination before becoming a Hunter, a high-risk selection process that leads to the majority of applicants becoming disabled or dying.

    Participants who are ambitious enough to take the infamous exam do so for their own reasons. 12-year-old Gon Freecss is driven by his quest to find Ging, his father, and a Hunter himself. He believes that by becoming a Hunter, he will meet his father.

    Gon makes friends with the medical student Leorio Paladiknight, the vindictive Kurapika, and the ex-assassin Killua Zoldyck during the Hunter Examination. They share a common goal and embark on a perilous journey despite their vastly different motivations.

    10. Bleach

    As a high school student, Ichigo Kurosaki has a normal life until a Hollow, a corrupt spirit that devours human souls attacks his family. Then, he comes across Rukia Kuchiki, a Soul Reaper injured in the course of protecting Ichigo’s family. In order to save his family, Ichigo accepts Rukia’s offer to take her powers and becomes a Soul Reaper.

    However, since Rukia is unable to regain her powers, Ichigo is tasked with tracking down the Hollows that are plaguing their town. His fight is not an isolated one, however, since he is later joined by his classmates, Yasutora Sado, Orihime Inoue, and Uryuu Ishida, who all possess their own special abilities. 

    As Ichigo and his comrades learn to cope with their new responsibilities and help each other on and off the battleground, the young Soul Reaper discovers that the Hollows are not the only threat to humanity.

    Allen and his fellow Exorcists have to stop the Millennium Earl’s ultimate plot, which could destroy the world, by using an arm as his Innocence and a cursed eye that can see the suffering souls in Akuma.

    The life of fifteen-year-old Kagome Higurashi is turned upside down after she is dragged down a cursed well at her family’s Shinto shrine by a demon. Rather than reaching the bottom of the well, Kagome lands 500 years in the past, during Japan’s violent Sengoku period, where the demon’s true target is reborn within her, the Shikon Jewel. 

    A battle with a resurrected demon accidentally breaks the sacred jewel, so Kagome enlists Inuyasha, a young dog-demon/human hybrid, to collect the shards and prevent them from falling into the wrong hands.

    The intelligent monk Miroku, Shippo, the orphan fox-demon, and the lethal demon slayer Sango join Kagome and Inuyasha on their quest. As they seek out the power-granting shards scattered throughout feudal Japan, they must put aside their differences and work together.

    14. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Yoko Littner, a hot-blooded redhead with a massive gun who roams the world above, helps Simon and Kamina thwart a surprise attack from the surface with the help of their new weapon.

    Following the battle, the sky is now visible, prompting Simon and Kamina to embark on a journey with Yoko to explore the surface wastelands. Soon after, they join the fight against the “Beastmen,” humanoid creatures who terrorize the surviving humans in powerful robots known as “Gunmen.” Despite some difficulties and setbacks, the trio fights bravely alongside other survivors to reclaim the surface while slowly unraveling a galaxy-sized mystery.

    15. Ao no Exorcist

    In the same way that humans and demons are two sides of the same coin, so are their worlds, Gehenna and Assiah. Possession, as in ghost stories, is the only means to travel between realms. 

    As a result, Satan, the ruler of Gehenna, remains imprisoned in the world he rules. For the sake of conquering Assiah, he sends his son instead so that he may become a vessel capable of being possessed by the demon king.

    Rin Okumura appears to be an ordinary, slightly troubled teenager until he is ambushed by demons one day in Ao no Exorcist. Upon discovering that he is Satan’s son and that his demon father wants him to return to conquer Assiah together, his world is turned upside down.

    Instead of joining Gehenna’s king, Rin decides to train to become an exorcist to be able to help his brother Yukio defend Assiah.
