The story of 15-year-old Souma Yukihira and his desire to one day serve as the head chef of his family’s restaurant is told in Shokugeki no Soma (Food Wars). His father prods him into enrolling at Tootsuki Culinary Academy, the most prestigious culinary school, where only 10% of the student body graduates, even though at initially owning the Yukihira Diner family restaurant was his main desire.
It’s a challenge accepted by Souma! A chef who aspires to become the finest of the best in the world lives in conditions like these, no matter how challenging or harsh they may be. Souma’s original desire gradually expanded into a much more ambitious goal: to master all aspects of cooking and eating before becoming a top chef.
Because it catered to fans of both slice-of-life anime and gourmet anime, Food Wars! was unexpectedly well-liked. Most viewers developed deep bonds with the characters and wanted them to succeed. Fans were enthralled by Soma Yukihira and the other heroic chefs’ exploits at the Totsuki Saryo Culinary Institute. The artwork in the classic anime True Cooking Master Boy differs from that of the modern programmes viewers have grown accustomed to.
3. Kill La Kill
Oh, and in case you were wondering, Kill la Kill doesn’t mention food. Its excessive fanservice and flamboyant ecchi are why I put it here. What anime contains both of them, do you know? Shokugeki no Soma, indeed! Therefore, Shokugeki no Soma and Kill la Kill are very similar from that perspective.
It all began with the father of Ryuuko Matoi being murdered. So Ryuuko’s quest for retribution starts! Things lead to Honnouji Academy, a school run by the vicious student council president Satsuki Kiryuuin and her minions, the Elite Four, with only the missing half of the “Scissor Blade” as a clue! But is the killer in fact connected to the institution? Fighting is necessary for Ryuuko to uncover the mystery! Ryuuko must battle Satsuki and the Elite Four with the Scissor Blade and the enigmatic Senketsu power-uniform in order to learn the truth about her father’s demise!
4. Koufuku Graffiti
Love the happy feeling you get when you consume delicious cuisine or at least watch someone else eat? You’ll feel good about the cuisine served at Koufuku Graffiti, but you’ll also feel good about the show’s general “feel good” vibe. After all, it’s a tasty slice-of-life anime, so you should look forward to it!
Ryou Machiko is a young woman who attends a prestigious art school while living alone. She cooks at home for herself, but lately, she no longer enjoys the cuisine she makes. Why does the food no longer taste wonderful when it’s just food? Later, Ryou finds out that Kirin, her cousin, would be staying with her on the weekends in order to attend the same art school as her. After then, Kirin learns that taste isn’t everything after trying Ryou’s food! Good food should be enjoyed with close friends and family. That is the basic foundation of delicious meals!
The majority of Food Wars viewers, who were drawn to the programme by its endearing characters, will be happy to watch Gourmet Girl Graffiti since it is highly amusing and features likeable characters. Bento boxes on sale are holy, as 15-year-old You Satou discovered the hard way! He was initially simply attempting to pick up a ben-to box when all of a sudden, he abruptly found himself unconscious…on the ground! What the heck just happened? Fighting turns out to be necessary in order to obtain food, particularly discounted Ben-to boxes. As a result, Satou starts studying under the “Ice Queen” to become a genuine ben-to wolf fighter!
Ben-to is an extremely distinctive sitcom, largely due to its theme. Supermarkets and late-night sales aren’t featured in many episodes. Because it is packed with passion, competition, and cuisine, fans of Food Wars will adore this programme. You Satou went to the grocery store without being aware that there are battles for the cheap meals that end in death after rush hour.
