5 Anime To Watch If You Love Pacific Rim: The Black

The most recent movie on Netflix was Pacific Rim: The Black. Seven episodes of the anime were made available on March 4th. The Pacific Rim franchise, which consists of two English live-action films starring Rinko Kikuchi and Charlie Day, is the inspiration for the anime. It featured good CGI and an intriguing all-around plot when Netflix first revealed it in 2018. Despite not being entirely Japanese, it has proven a big hit with anime enthusiasts. Following their viewing, viewers felt that the anime series was superior to the live-action films.

Taylor Travis and Hayley Travis, two siblings, are the focus of the series. The narrative takes place in a dystopian society where people hide and are terrified of Kaiju, a monstrous breed that appears to have wiped mankind off the face of the planet. Using large machines known as Jaegars, the humans attempted to fight back but failed miserably. Two Australian children named Travis and Hayley are looking for their parents.

They discover an elderly Jaegar in a world where humans are merely scattered and concealed. In search of their parents, the siblings set off on a voyage of survival with this Jaegar, known as the Atlas Destroyer. However, in addition to The Kaiju, there will be challenges from people who want to take over the Atlas Destroyer.

The new Netflix original anime: did you like it? Although post-apocalyptic anime sometimes have identical stories, it’s interesting how each anime presents the same components in a different way. Here are 5 anime that are similar to Pacific Rim: The Black that you should see if you enjoyed the film. The top 10 anime that I think are related to Pacific Rim: The Black are listed below.

    1. BLAME!

    BLAME!

Rather than a television show, this is an anime film. Although it is situated in a fictional, impossible world, Blame! has a heroic theme and realist elements. Although the anime moves slowly, if you have patient, it is actually rather nice. Although the animation in the movie was excellent, I still advise reading the manga because the movie compacted a lot of information. However, I thought the film was excellent on its own as well. I believe Blame! shares certain characteristics with Pacific Rim: The Black since we are discussing similar anime. There is a good probability that if you watched Pacific Rim: The Black and like it for the technology, you could find Blame! one of your kind of anime.

Cyber technology currently rules the entire planet. A hostile technology wipes out the majority of humanity. The only remaining humans survive by running away from the Safeguard, the cybertech’s protection system. Zuru is attacked by machines when she and three other humans go hunting for food. She is on the verge of passing away when Killy, a loner, saves her. By overthrowing all the machines, he defends her.

Killy explains his motivations to Zuru. He had travelled far underground in quest of people with the Net Terminal Gene. Only these people are able to take control of these vicious machines and put an end to the apocalypse. Finding the people and using them to disable the safeguard is the easy goal. Zuru initially hesitates, but finally joins forces with Killy to hunt down those carrying the Net Terminal Gene.

    2. NO GAME NO LIFE: ZERO

    NO GAME NO LIFE ZERO

In 2017, a prequel film to the anime series No Game No Life was released. No Game No Life was also said to have no upcoming seasons somewhere in the same year. The prequel film, however, was a huge success. The No Game No Life movie is based in an entirely different fantasy universe, yet it shares the same “humanity must survive” tenet as previous post-apocalyptic anime. Although this film lacks modern technology, it does contain a very cute AI and strong characters.

I adore how the overall idea of strategy is prioritized in this anime over large machines. No Game No Life shows humanity at its most helpless, lacking armor or weapons, in contrast to Pacific Rim: The Black’s rich plot involving the Jaegars and their abilities. It does a fantastic job of expressing how mankind overcomes superior races who possess both weapons and powers and prevails by working together and employing a failsafe technique. Anyone who enjoys Pacific Rim should see No Game No Life- Zero, in my opinion, because despite some similarities, it is still very distinct from Pacific Rim.

It is normal to see humans being tramped on in a world where mankind is regarded as the weakest of the 16 races. Because of this, humans are kept secret and remote. However, as the battle draws closer, more and more members of the human species are dying every day. The battle between the 16 races to determine the One True God is about to start. The absence of God results in total pandemonium.

Young and ambitious, Riku belongs to the human race. As more people perish, he becomes more and more enraged, becoming an angry warrior. He meets an ex-Machina while on a trip. She is given the name Schwi and is saved after becoming separated from her crew. It was Schwi’s goal to gain knowledge of how people behave. She has a strong conviction that despite the human race’s great willpower, it should have long since vanished. To protect the continuation of humanity, Riku teams up with Schwi.

    3. Eureka Seven

    Eureka Seven

Since his father’s passing, Renton Thurston has had a monotonous life and appears to be mainly interested in the mercenary organization Gekkostate, which he hopes to join. Sadly, his grandfather would rather that he become a mechanic. On a typical day, a mishap in his garage results in the discovery of a Nirvash type ZERO, a surfer of Trapar waves. Before Renton can process what is happening, he finds himself being engaged with Gekkostate, which completely upends his existence.

Even though their immediate goal is more personal, the characters in “Eureka Seven” ultimately battle for the larger good, much like Taylor and Hayley, whose quest begins with the search for their missing parents.

    4. Knights of Sidonia

    Knights of Sidonia

The alien race Gauna has successfully ended life as we know it on Earth in the year 3394. Few people who are able to survive are hidden throughout the galaxy aboard enormous seed ships. Nagate Tanikaze inadvertently becomes involved in a chain of events that have broad repercussions when he finally leaves one of these seed ships, Sidonia, after living in seclusion for his whole life.

Unfortunately, the alien race decides to launch their attack on Sidonia since they are adamant about eradicating even the last bits of humans. Nagate, his fellow troops, and his companions are now required to protect humanity’s only hope. Knights of Sidonia’s sinister storyline can give anyone nightmares, just like ‘Pacific Rim: The Black,’ which features terrifying Kaiju destroying everything in its path.

    5. Neon Genesis Evangelion

    Neon Genesis Evangelion

The post-apocalyptic anime series, which debuted in the fall of 1995, is still a fan favourite. The show features fantastic characters, incredible music, and a build-up that is both gradual and effective, pushing viewers to the brink of desperation as they wait for more information.

If you enjoy science fiction and post-apocalyptic anime, it is unquestionably one of those highly recommended must-watch anime. What makes it still more appealing is the excellent execution in spite of the outdated visuals that continue to captivate viewers even if the show ended many years ago. I heartily suggest seeing this anime if you enjoyed Pacific Rim. Everyone should value this piece of anime history.

The anime takes place in 2015, which was a long time after Neon Genesis Evangelion’s 1995 debut year and after enormous monsters called Angels had destroyed most of the earth. Using massive robots called Evangelion is the only way to battle the Angels. Shinji Ikari is asked to pilot Evangelion Unit- 01 by his father, Gendo Ikari, the head of Nerv, a paramilitary organization, in order to defend all of humanity.

Shinji Ikari, who develops alongside numerous other characters to save the planet against Angels, is followed on his path in the anime. As the story develops, Shinja will learn more secrets.
