This one has Zack Snyder on board as a producer, with Matthias Schweighöfer assuming the reins as director. Army of Thieves has cast Nathalie Emmanuel, Guz Khan, Ruby O. Fee, Stuart Martin, Jonathan Cohen, Noemie Nakai, and Peter Simonischek in the zombie-infested realm of criminality, based on a script by Shay Hatten and an original story co-written by Snyder and Hatten.

Army of Thieves, like its predecessor, has been described as a “not-your-average zombie movie”.In reality, the prequel isn’t being marketed as a zombie film at all. During the recent Comic-Con@Home panel, producer Deborah Snyder teased. This is more of a romantic comedy heist film to her than anything else.

Snyder’s new Army of the Dead franchise includes Army of Thieves, with the filmmaker recently securing a new first-look contract with Netflix and revealing that a straight sequel is also in the works.
