Beloved Catwoman Michelle Pfieffer Is Ready To Reprise Her Role In The Upcoming ‘Flash’ Film

Director of ‘It’, Andy Muschietti is now working on a huge project with DC. With hopes to finally release in 2022, ‘The Flash’ will be DC’s first film based on the superhero of the same name. Although Warner Bros. announced this sixth installment in the DC Extended Universe in 2016, the film kept falling prey to one of the largest numbers of director turnovers. Muschietti, however, stuck through and is now fully committed to making this project reach its goal. The film will be quite mind-bending, given Flash’s abilities to time travel, and not only will we see Michael Keaton’s Batman make a comeback, but also Ben Affleck’s Batman!

What Pfieffer had to say about being seen as Catwoman once again

Keaton’s Batman was seen in ‘Batman Returns’ mainly fighting against the deranged killer called ‘Penguin,’ played by Danny DeVito. As Penguin joins forces with an evil businessman person to destroy Batman, Michelle Pfieffer, who plays his assistant Selina’s role, accidentally finds out about their evil plans. As a result, they try to kill her but end up transforming her into Catwoman. Although initially, she fights alongside Penguin, she soon switches over to Batman’s team and wins. Many are speculating that DeVito might also return as Penguin, considering the overlapping of major events from ‘Batman Returns’ and with all of this guess-work happening, fans couldn’t help but ask Pfieffer if she would also make an appearance, giving the audience another look at one of the most beloved Catwomen played on-screen. In response, Michelle has said that if the makers and the team would have her, she would never shy away from reprising the role once again.

‘The Flash’ has the potential to be one of the most mind-boggling films in the DCEU

The intertwining of universes in the upcoming film may result from a time travelling incident went wrong, and the film’s focal point could be for Barry, a.k.a Flash, to put things back in order. It has already been confirmed that the film is inspired by the Flashpoint Paradox, a reboot event that takes place after Barry saves his mom by going into the past and, as a result, causes damage that is not easy to make right. Andy has made it clear that some changes can definitely be expected in the Flashpoint arc. This could be because the comics have been adapted into animation and the Arrowverse already. In a way, this timeline commotion could mean a good thing as it can be used to fix the many plot holes and lack of continuity in the DCEU.

    Who will play the role

Although Grant Gustin has played Barry Allen in the show, Ezra Miller is the one who will be appearing in films for the same. Miller has emerged as Flash in many DCEU films, including ‘Justice League’ (2017), and so it is natural that he will be the one to reprise this role in ‘The Flash’ (2022). The film will begin its production this year and is expected to hit the theatres by November 2022.
