Based on the immensely popular manga by Yuki Tabata, “Black Clover” is often considered among the best anime shows in the recent past. This series is set in a kingdom where most of the inhabitants have access to some form of magical power, but the main character, Asta, is born without any sort of arcane aptitude. Later, he possesses an extremely powerful five-leafed relic, as well as devil-based anti-magic that enhances his physical abilities.
It’s not unusual for Asta and fellow orphan Yuno to clash, as both yearn to become the next Wizard King. Yuno has a boundless affinity for the magical arts and special aplomb when it comes to wind magic. Rather, this is a friendly rivalry rather than an overt hostility.
Throughout the anime and manga, both characters pick up allies and enemies. They learn about their history and the threat that devils and evil organizations pose to them and their kingdom.
When is the Black Clover Movie scheduled to be released?
The release date for the Black Clover anime film has been set for 2023, and a new trailer has been released to commemorate the series’ seventh anniversary.
The annual Jump Festa event in Japan is one of the most anticipated weekends of the year for anime fans all around the world. With the most recent event taking place in December 2021, new anime projects are revealed, cast members are revealed, and trailers are released.
While there was plenty of intriguing news, the big anime franchises, notably the upcoming Black Clover film, continued to dominate the headlines.
The official Japanese website for the Black Clover anime adaptation announced on March 13th that the new film will be released in 2023. Unfortunately, no particular release date has been announced, but fans may expect the film to hit theatres around this time next year to commemorate the film’s eighth anniversary.
Fans should be aware, however, that the Black Clover film will debut in Japanese theatres first, before moving on to international theatres and, eventually, a streaming platform several months later.
Black Clover movie expected to continue off from the anime finale
Despite the recent announcement of a 2023 release, neither the main plot nor the cast for the upcoming Black Clover film has been revealed.
Thankfully, it will be a canon production, which means that the film will conclude adapting the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc, which is still ongoing, with the same cast from the series returning to their roles.
Based on how the series ended, we should see an epic battle against Zenon. Asta and Liebe might also become friends, and the “Spade Kingdom” arc could come to an end. If our heroes are able to defeat Zenon and his Dark Triad, what will become of Yuno, who is, in fact, the long-lost prince of the former royal house of the Spade Kingdom?
By the time it ended in March 2021, the anime series had adapted up to around chapter 273 of the manga. The good news is that 326 chapters have now been released, with 53 chapters remaining to complete the Spade Kingdom Raid arc’s plot. In the Black Clover movie, who are the characters?
As the “Black Clover” movie, we can certainly expect to see series regulars like Asta, Noelle Silva, and Yuno, but who else might we see in the currently untitled movie?
The Dark Triad is expected to make an appearance considering where they are in the series. It is their obsession with manifesting devils into this world that poses the greatest threat.
The Dark Triad, of course, are three dark wizards who use terror and merciless subjugation to reign the Spade Kingdom, Yuno’s former home. And among the Dark Triad, we can almost definitely assume that Zenon Zogratis, leader of previously mentioned evil mages, will pop up. If referencing the manga, we could also see Liebe, Nacht Faust, Magna Swing, and Dante Zogratis. We may also see the twin devils Lilith and Naamah.
