Samson Kayo, who has been nominated for a BAFTA, and Jane Horrocks, who has been nominated for a Golden Globe, appear in the series. There were eight episodes in the first season, and there will be ten in the second.
Bloods follows a pair of mismatched paramedics, Maleek (Kayo) and Wendy (Horrocks), as well as their fellow ambulance station colleagues, through the life-saving world of a south London emergency service. For the new season, Katherine Kelly (“Innocent”) and Nathan Foad (“Our Flag Means Death”) have joined the cast.
Aasiya Shah (“Raised By Wolves”), Lucy Punch (“Motherland”), Kevin Garry (“Ted Lasso”), Adrian Scarborough (“Gavin and Stacey”), Julian Barratt (“Mighty Boosh”), and Sam Campbell (“Stath Lets Flats”) are among the returning cast members.
Roughcut TV (“Stath Lets Flats”), which won a BAFTA award for “Stath Lets Flats”), is producing the series for Sky in collaboration with Sky Studios. In 2022, it will air on Sky Comedy and the streaming service Now in two installments.
North London Studios and numerous locations in south London were used to film the episodes.
Jon Mountague, Sky Studios’ head of comedy, Zai Bennett, Sky’s managing director of content, and Tilusha Ghelani, Sky Studios’ commissioning editor, commissioned “Bloods.”
Malek has a god mentality, despite not being popular with the people for whom he shoots videos. Despite his pride in himself and his relentless exaltation to show others how to associate with him, such sick narcissism generates more disgust and denial in others. He used to work alone as a paramedic since no one wanted to be continuously under the hot hand and subjected to mockery and abuse.
But then he was paired with a very kind guy who didn’t notice any of the jabs. At first, everyone in the office was convinced that these two walking opposites would not get along and that the lovely lady would beg to be replaced. They appear to get along well, and they don’t seem to get tired of rolling around to phone calls. Despite her friendliness, the new partner isn’t averse to indulging in some dark humor, which Malek enjoys.
The show is produced by Debbie Pisani (“Flack”) and written by Paul Doolan (“Trollied”) and Nathan Byron. It was created by Samson Kayo and Nathan Byron. Patrica Alcock, Tasha Dhanraj, and Tom Melia are among the new writers for the show. Alex Smith (“Trollied”) and Ash Atalla (“The Office”) are executive producers of Roughcut.
NBCUniversal Global Distribution will release “Bloods” on behalf of Sky Studios.
