Chainsaw Man Anime – Everything We Know So Far

One of the most anticipated animes of the year is Chainsaw Man. This is just what you need to know about the wildly popular manga series.

This year, Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man will be adapted into an anime, and fans can’t wait. Considering how successful the manga’s first part was, it was only a matter of time before Chainsaw Man got an anime adaptation. Chainsaw Man, which debuted in 2018, has only grown in popularity ever since. Fans have been talking about an anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man for quite a while, but that has taken some time.

This adaptation of the ridiculously gory and surprisingly great series is coming from MAPPA animation, which has produced recent hits such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Attacks on Titan Final Season.

    What Is Chainsaw Man About?

    What Is Chainsaw Man About

The story of Chainsaw Man is about Denji, a young boy who appears to be broke and engulfed in debt. Pochita, his pet Devil, works alongside him. Denji works as a Devil Hunter, and his job description is self-explanatory. Devils exist in Chainsaw Man’s world. Devil hunting can be one of the best ways to earn money, but it requires people to take risks with their lives.

Even so, Denji barely makes enough to eat and survive. He owes a lot in debt, and that subtracts a significant amount from whatever he earns. Pochita, Denji’s pet, is a Devil whom he saved once, thus tying it to him, encouraging him to do the same if the need arose.

Denji finds himself in trouble soon after when the people for whom he worked are taken over by a Zombie Devil, who attacks and leaves him for dead. As a result of the promise Pochita made to Denji, he saves Denji’s life by giving him his heart and living within him, transforming him into Chainsaw Man. In return, Pochita asks him to show him his dreams. After that, Denji’s life turns upside down as he becomes strong enough to dream of a better life for himself.

    Who Are The Main Characters?

    Who Are The Main Characters

Quite a few interesting characters appear in Chainsaw Man, and Fujimoto has made sure the cast is loaded with some of the most lovable characters, starting with Denji, the protagonist of the story. With Denji always comes Pochita, his pet Chainsaw Devil. Fans soon become acquainted with Makima, a Public Safety Devil Hunter, who plays an important role in Denji’s life and offers him work, despite the fact that she often treats him as her own pet.

The team that Denji joins is led by a guy named Aki, who saw his entire family murdered by the Devils right in front of his eyes. Although Aki does not sympathize with the Devils, Denji, having been friends with Pochita, wants to make his own decisions here. A short time later, fans are introduced to Power, who is a Blood Fiend, which means her body was possessed by a devil in order to survive.

Power is also assigned to Aki’s squad, and they grow closer over time. Denji, Power, and Aki work well together as a team and act almost like a family. Although they don’t start out the best, which is understandable, given Aki’s background, they get closer with time, which is nothing but beautiful.

However, they aren’t the only characters in Chainsaw Man’s story, and Tatsuki Fujimoto has done a wonderful job writing some other intriguing characters that anime fans should be quite excited to see. As well as the ones mentioned above, there are a number of other characters who are beloved by manga readers, such as Himeno, Kobeni, Kishibe, among several others. Chainsaw Man has quite a diverse cast, including some really great characters.

    Chainsaw Man Release Date

Chainsaw Man’s trailer was released in 2021 and featured some incredible animation. Sadly, MAPPA is notorious for overworking its employees and not providing them with enough rest, which consequently affects the production of the anime. It is hoped that this time around, the staff will have more time to work on Chainsaw Man, ensuring a flexible schedule and high production quality. Chainsaw Man seems to be in good hands based on the trailer. There is no exact release date for Chainsaw Man yet, but it is definitely set for a 2022 release, which is exciting enough.

The anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man should become more known as we move closer to Spring. The expectations for the Chainsaw Man anime are high, and plenty of anime and manga fans can’t wait to see Tatsuki Fujimoto’s vision be brought to the screen later this year.
