Chris Sun’s 5th Feature Film, Inspired By Actual Events

One of the best directors of the Horror genre, Chris Sun, the man behind movies like Boar, Charlie’s Farm, Daddy’s Little Girl and Come and Get me; has recently unveiled the teaser for his fifth horror thriller “The Possessed”. Set to release in July of 2021, six images were revealed to the public before the teaser which show us the brilliant practical effects that the Australian director is known for.

What we know about the story so far

The Possessed is inspired by actual events, that follows Jacob, who is otherwise an ordinary man but with some supernatural gifts. Jacob and his nephew Liam, have created a name for themselves carrying out exorcisms to cleanse their clients of demons within. Everything was going fine, but things have started changing around them. More and more people are reporting possessions, in an unexpected sudden rise in demonic possessions all around Jacob. It is during this he meets Atalie, Liam’s girlfriend when Jacob is able to sense something strange and dark about her and realizes she has some of the similar powers as he does. Jacob had never met anyone so like himself and more so, never anticipated needing more assistance with his job. When called to a homestead to carry out an exorcism, Jacob must use all his experience and Atalie’s untrained powers to defeat the evil. As the official synopsis puts it: “Death is here, and it will do anything to be free”.
