    Melissa Kiplagat plays Akisa in Country Queen, a character who is originally from a peaceful countryside but now lives a comfortable but difficult existence in the metropolis. Her troubled past and complicated connection to the wealthy and vicious Sibala family set off a series of incidents with far-reaching effects.

    The fact that the series was directed by Vincent Mbaya, Tosh Gitonga, and Brian Munene and was filmed in Machakos, Nairobi, and Murang’a counties makes it even more fascinating.     The second season will most likely feature several new characters in addition to the first season’s star cast. We currently don’t have any detailed information about the second season’s leading actors.
