Horror Fantasy Saga Announced By Hex Studios – Dragon Knight

With their latest project Dragon Knight, Scottish genre company Hex Studios has announced a foray towards horror-fantasy! Check out the Dragon Knight trailer and learn more about the studio’s most ambitious picture to date. The company is known for its horror pictures and Lord of Tears and The Devil’s Machine are two of Hex Studios’ most well-known gothic horror films.

Dragon Knight is a gritty fantasy epic set in the dystopian realms of Agonos, where a lone knight must embark on a perilous adventure to defend the planet from a huge and increasing evil, based on an original concept by Hex Studios’ Lawrie Brewster and Sarah Daly. “Dragon Knight takes influence from fantasy films from the 1970s and 1980s, as well as traditional fantasy literature, such as the Conan the Barbarian series of books and John Boorman’s Excalibur,” says director/producer Lawrie Brewster. With a storey that is completely original but feels ageless, we want to portray the sensation of wonder and awe that fantasy can offer. We won’t move too far from our horror roots with this project, which will have a dark edge.

Dragon Knight will feature everything you’d expect from a fantasy film: dragons, heroes, and epic battles, but it’ll also have a message to deliver, and it should seem timely and relevant in these unusual and unexpected times, said Sarah Daily.

The Hex Studios crew has just started a crowdfunder to help fund the film’s post-production by offering donors a variety of exclusive goodies, including Special Editions of the film, Kickstarter-exclusive T-Shirts, and 28mm miniatures of the characters and creatures from the film.

The film Dragon Knight will be released later this year. Make sure to catch the trailer and get a glimpse into this dark fantasy epic! It looks like it will be a must watch for horror and fantasy lovers.
