David Cronenberg’s New Film ‘Crimes Of The Future’ Supposedly Being Filmed This Summer

Initially teased by Viggo Mortensen earlier this year, David Cronenberg is ready to return to his origins with his next film, with Mortensen (Eastern Promises, A History of Violence) onboardCronenberg and chief the cast. It will be Cronenberg’s first feature since 2014’s Maps to the Stars, and it’s allegedly now titled Crimes of the Future.

    The details

According to a report, Cronenberg will be shooting Crimes of the Future in Greece this Summer. Cronenberg admirers might identify the title, as the writer-director made a movie of the same name in 1970 about a dermatological clinic director probing for his guide in the center of an epidemic that has killed off women.

Most people line up with Mortensen’s comments from earlier this year. The actor said that he wrote a long time ago, and he never got it complete. Now he’s advanced it, and he wants to shoot it. Optimistically, it’ll be this Summer they will be shooting. He would say that he’s going maybe a little bit back to his roots without giving the story away.
