Demon Slayer Season 3 – Everything We Know So Far

‘Demon Slayer’ is based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. As its title implies, the anime follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy who battles bloodthirsty demons. In addition, he must find a cure for his sister Nezuko Kamado, who suffers from a demon curse.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ended its second season with a bang, but the hype for the next isn’t waning.

As we last saw Tanjiro and his gang, they had just defeated the Upper Rank Six demon duo Daki and Gyutaro with the help of Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui.

    Recap of the Last Season

It is true the season ended with a nice bow, finishing up storylines with Tengen and his wives, as well as killing off Gyutaro and Daki in a manner that is highly regarded for Demon Slayer antagonists, but some characters made the internet go crazy when the last episode aired.

The internet went into a frenzy when one of the Upper-Rank Demons was seen in the flashback for Daki and Gyutaro. In the short scene in which he was presented, he looked fantastic, and it all hyped up the Demon Slayer fans for the upcoming season.

The Snake Hashira Obanai Iguro also made a highly suspicious comment regarding Uzui’s condition after the fight with Gyutaro and Daki. Demons of higher rank are flies in the face of the Hashiras’ power, he said.

While the reaction of Demon Slayer Corp leader, Kagaya Ubuyashiki completely flipped the comment as he was taken aback in excitement and shock when he discovered that Uzui and Tanjiro’s team had managed to defeat the Upper Rank Six demons.

What's The Storyline Of 'Demon Slayer' Season 3

‘Demon Slayer’ follows the story of Tanjirou Kamado, a young boy who has to take care of the family following his father’s death. One day, he goes down to the village to sell charcoals to earn a little money. However, upon his return, he found his entire family murdered. The only survivor is his little sister Nezuko, who was turned into a bloodthirsty demon.

Tanjirou vows to seek revenge and joins the Demon Slayer Corps while trying hard to find a cure for his sister.

‘Demon Slayer’ Season 2 re-adapts Mugen Train and then the next Entertainment District story arc (Chapters 53 through 99).

As we previously guessed, season 3 will begin adapting the Swordsmith Village Arc. The anime will continue exploring Tanjirou’s battles against demons and work to help his sister Nezuko restore her humanity.

    Demon Slayer Season 3 Announcement

The question for everyone’s mind is when will the next season crash into anime fans’ hands. Well, in the last episode of Demon Slayer, there was a teaser trailer where the next season was announced. In the teaser, we found out that the next season is named The Swordsmith Village arc.

As nothing is confirmed by Ufotable production right now, there is no official release date announced yet; many have speculated that the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 will most probably, based on the current status, not likely get released until Spring 2023.

The hype for season 3 has doubled since two Hashiras were seen in the teaser for the newest season. The Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanjori, and Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito will be the main protagonists alongside our ragtag team of Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Nezuko.

The story of Tanjiro and Nezuko, fighting for their survival and meeting new friends and foes down the line, be human or demon, will continue to awe and shock us when we meet them again in the next season.

    Anticipation for the Next season

    Anticipation for the Next season

If the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fans want any indication of how long this season will go on, then anime fans will be sad to know that the chapters for the Entertainment Arc are pretty similar to the Swordsmith Village Arc, and thus we can expect another batch of 11-12 Demon Slayer episodes to come out.

While this may be disheartening for some, the fact that Ufotable production only has Demon Slayer on its back to carry forward, any expectation that Demon Slayer Season 3 is shaping to form is going to be exceeded by them, if anything.

After the release of season 2, Ufotable production has announced that production has begun for the next season on 13 February.

So let’s continue the hype and wait for the inevitable masterclass in animation and storytelling that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 will eventually be when it comes out.
