Santa Claus and his elves from Rare Exports (2010)

Santa Claus and his elves from Rare Exports (2010)

The Ear Fell or Korvatunturi, located in the frigid Finnish district of Lapland, is said to be the ancestral home of the modern Santa Claus, Joulupukki. A group of British academics arrives at Ear Fell with the intention of drilling through the hill to obtain core samples.

Despite this, the researchers proceed with the drilling and use explosives to blast apart the hill. Riley, the leader of the British crew, quickly discovers that Ear Fell was once a huge burial ground intended to keep something hidden or imprisoned beneath it.

Meanwhile, two local children, Juuso and Pietari, overhear the Britishers’ chat and speculate about the possibility of Santa Claus. Back at home, Pietari reads horror stories about how Santa punishes children who misbehave.

Pietari’s father, Rauno, is a reindeer slaughterer, but his business is on the verge of bankruptcy. To add insult to injury, he finds that all the reindeers in the area have been mutilated and gnawed.

While examining the carcasses, he assumes that wolves were behind the attack. But, Pietari is convinced that it is something that the Britishers awoke with their explosions at the fell. He goes to the fell to demand retribution from the company for spooking the wolves, but all he finds is a four hundred meter deep pit and no personnel around.

Meanwhile, Pietari’s pal Juuso vanishes. Rauno, on the other hand, had prepared pit traps for wolves but instead caught an elderly naked man. This man turns out to be one of Santa’s ancestors, the Joulupukki elves.

He takes a local man’s ear and chews it off. Pietari had also been a wayward and naughty child. As a result, the elf is not only drawn to him, but also wishes to harm him.

The men dress up the elf in a Santa suit and transport him to an airbase where Americans were reportedly waiting. However, they encounter numerous elves at the airbase who are attempting to defrost a horned being, likely Joulupukki. The men and Pietari will have to fight the menacing elves and kill the ancient Santa if they intend to save the town’s children.

The picture succeeds in eliciting enormous dread with its exceedingly dark comedy and parodic tones. Despite being a spoof of films that bring the dead back to life, this one manages to preserve the key aspects of horror and comedy.

The images with the smirking old man eagerly waiting to injure Pietari are both riveting and terrifying. It’s almost as if Finnish director Jalmari Helander combined the terror of John Carpenter’s “The Thing” with Santa’s fairy-tale storyline. OH NO, OH NO, OH NO, OH NO, OH NO, OH NO,

Grither from HBO’s Tales from the Darkside Season 03 Episode 11 Season of Belief

Grither from HBO’s Tales from the Darkside Season 03 Episode 11 Season of Belief

Season of Belief follows a family of four, including parents and their young children, Jimbo and Stefa. It’s that time of year when everything is bright and cheerful, the gardens are snow-covered, and beautifully decorated Christmas trees ornament every home.

But none of this seems to interest Jimbo and Stefa, who prefer to watch Christmas Carols on TV. Their parents, on the other hand, want to spend time with their family the old-fashioned manner, with no distractions.

The children don’t seem excited about this idea; Jimbo goes as far as to speak disrespectfully about Santa Claus and saying that he doesn’t want to wait for the. When his father rebukes Jimbo playfully, he responds by saying, So, it is established that Jimbo clearly doesn’t believe in Santa and even despises the old harbinger of happiness.

As the night grows darker, the children complain of boredom and the parents decide to tell them a story. The father selects the storey and whispers its title to their mother, who believes it is too frightening for the kids. They get enthralled and demand that the story be told.

The storey will be about the world’s toughest and most terrifying beast, but instead of stating its name, he writes it down on a piece of paper labelled “The Grither.” Even the parents are hesitant, telling their children that they should never utter Grither’s name aloud.

The father begins telling the story. Far away from the hustle-bustle of the humans, there was a hill on the North Pole where Santa worked in his workshop with all the elves. But on the opposite side of that hill, there was a cave; unimaginably wet and cold. Inside the cave lived an old and ancient being on a wrecked ship.

This monster was known as the Grither, and he despised being cold and wet. However, the one thing he despised the most was when his name was shouted out. While Jimbo remains doubtful of the story’s veracity and the existence of the monster, Stefa appears afraid by the Grither.

Grither’s ears double in size anytime he hears its name, according to the children, and he rushes to the mouth that spoke it. Jimbo gets wild and repeats the obscene term three times, terrifying Stefa even more. Grither’s fists are said to be the size of basketballs, and his hands are said to be as long as boa constrictors.

A knock on the door scares Stefa, but her parents reassure her that it would take Grither more time to reach. They just want to finish the story before Grither reaches them and them in, whatever that is supposed to mean. Next thing we know, the mother starts playing “Come All Ye Faithful” on the piano, and the father starts singing an obnoxious made-up Grither song.

The parents explain that the Grither was as tall as trees, with pale white skin, red veins of anger and blue veins of fear. Apparently, when one repeatedly calls out his name, the Grither’s ears turn into wings with which he can fly. Suddenly, the phone rings and the father answers.

Upon returning, he tells them that someone unknown kept asking if they were all together. He goes on to state that the Grither was born aboard a sailing ship in the Arctic. Except for Grither, the ship went missing and everyone died. This is why he is so enraged and enraged.

Uncle Mike, his wife’s brother, interrupts him once more. A tremendous gust of wind throws everyone over. Two gigantic arms break in through the windows and snap their parents’ necks the next thing we know. When Uncle Mike rhetorically asks what the thing was, Jimbo cautions Stefa from speaking its name, and a horrified Stefa simply says.

The Santa Monster from Love Death Robots Season 2 – Episode 6 – All Through The House

The Santa Monster from Love Death Robots Season 2 - Episode 6 - All Through TheHouse

This is a brief episode with a runtime of just over four minutes, and it’s one of the best Christmas horror short films we’ve ever seen. The short film begins with Leah and her younger brother William, two charming children. Leah wakes William up late on Christmas Eve night. They both hear something and head out to find out what it is. Leah believes it’s Santa.

The kids get out of bed and search the entire home for Santa. The socks over the chimney were swaying, which they noticed. In the house, there is a deafening silence. However, Leah is horrified to find a massive tentacle drinking milk from a glass on the table.

Then, all of a sudden, a giant slimy beast appears in front of them. It is nothing like they had ever seen or could even imagine. It had no eyes but could smell whoever was before him. The creature was humped and walked on all fours; its frontal limbs were almost thrice the size of the rear limbs.

It also had two smaller hands protruding from the upper half of its body. All the fingers on the six limbs had sharp claws that could rip into anything. Furthermore, it had a huge set of hideous, long sharp teeth.

The creature walked up to Leah and William, sniffed them and gave them their presents. Before leaving, it patted William’s head and asked him to. When William opened his present, to his surprise, it was just what he wanted. Later the two kids go back to their respective beds, where Leah asked William.

The reddish colour of the monster’s skin, as well as the squishy torso with hands and tentacles emerging from almost anyplace, have an unsettling resemblance to John Carpenter’s “The Thing.” This is undoubtedly the most creative depiction of Santa Claus, but what makes the short video much more intriguing is the idea that the monster could do incredibly horrible things if the kids were bad or misbehaving.

So, if you have tiny ones who are boisterous and disobedient in your family, this four-minute short film might be just what you need. However, we must caution you that kids may become more terrified than you would like. So, pick your poison.

    A Christmas Horror Story (2015)

    A Christmas Horror Story (2015)

Like Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, the film is an anthology of four horror stories. As the title suggests, “A Christmas Horror Story” is set during the most lovely time of the year—Christmas.

Each of the four stories follows the same timeline and has one thing in common: Dangerous Dan. He’s an alcoholic radio jockey that works for the Bailey Downs radio station, and for some unexplained reason, he warns listeners to avoid the local mall.

    The First story

Dylan, Ben, and Molly steal into their old school to look into the murders of two former pupils. Dangerous Dan’s grandson was one among the casualties. The murders took place a year before the current events, in the basement of the school, which used to be a convent.

Caprice, another buddy, was meant to join the three, but she couldn’t since she needed to leave town. All three of them are confined within the basement when they return. Molly is possessed by the ghost of a bloodied and pregnant adolescent nun who was forced to have an abortion by the other nuns.

Since the abortion was done in a gruesome and unprofessional way, the young girl had died. She now looked for women to posses to give life to her child. The possessed Molly tries to seduce Dylan, but when he refuses, she kills him.

She then tries to seduce Ben and succeeds. After the copulation, she kills Ben as well because he held a gun. The ghost ends up killing anyone who refused to make love. Later, the spirit allows Molly to leave the place.

    The second story

Last year, Scott Peters was the cop who investigated the two children’s killings. He had to take a hiatus from work due to the trauma. Scott suggests that his entire family go into the woods and cut down a Christmas tree for the house. Despite his wife’s initial scepticism, he is able to persuade her.

They set off into the woods, which are owned by a man named Big Earl. Scott’s son Will goes lost in an unusual turn of events, but he is soon found inside a tree. Will begins to act strangely and eventually murders his father.

As a result of the pandemonium, Big Earl informs Scott’s wife, Kim, that Will was a changeling and not her son. Kim takes the changeling to Big Earl, where she learns that he has been imprisoning all the changelings in a grove. She kills him and frees the changelings. Later, the changeling releases the real Will, and he is reunited with Kim.

    The third story

Caprice, who appeared in the first chapter, travels with her parents Taylor and Diane, as well as her younger brother Duncan, to see her old Aunt Edda. Edda tells Caprice about the Krampus, a legendary beast. Duncan breaks a Krampus figurine, which makes Caprice even more terrified.

Taylor and Diane are told by Edda to take the kids home and keep them safe. Their car breaks down on the way home, and they know the Krampus is after them. They choose to seek sanctuary in the Church and confess their misdeeds to God, hoping that because Krampus is a celestial being, he will forgive them if they confess to God.

However, Krampus comes for them, and kills them one by one, all but Caprice. She manages to flee the spot and reaches Aunt Edda’s house, and kills the Krampus. It is revealed that Krampus was actually Edda’s house help, Gerhardt, who had transformed into the Krampus out of anger because of the family’s behavior. Edda knew all about this, and this enraged Caprice, who herself transforms into the Krampus.

    The fourth story

In the last story, we see Santa Claus preparing for an extremely busy Christmas with his wife and elves. However, one of the elves gets infected with a virus and transforms into a zombie. The zombied elf infects everyone else.

He manages to kill all the zombies, including his wife, but his next enemy is Krampus itself. However, it’s revealed that Santa Claus was actually a man named Norman who played the role at the local mall, the same guy whom Dangerous Dan was speaking about in the first story.

Norman was also the weather forecaster for Dangerous Dan’s radio station, but the pressure at work had driven him insane. He killed regular mall patrons whom he mistook for his undead elves, and the cops shot him down just as he was about to kill the mall’s manager or Krampus. This is why Dangerous Dan had been advising his listeners to avoid going to the mall.

    Krampus (2015)

    Krampus (2015)

Tom and Sarah Engel’s extended families join together for a Christmas get-together. Their son Max is a fervent believer in Santa Claus, while their adolescent daughter Beth isn’t so sure. Max writes a letter to Santa, but it falls into the hands of his relatives, who read it out loud and mock Max.

This upsets the little boy, who rants at his family, declaring that he doesn’t care for either his family or Christmas. Later, his father approaches him and hands him the letter, along with a few wise comments about how he should always cherish his family. But Max has had it, and he tears the letter and throws it out of his window; the torn pieces of the letter fly away into the depths of the night sky.

Later that night, a severe blizzard takes out the town’s power, and the family gets trapped in the house without heat or any means of communication with the outside world. When Beth goes out of the house, she gets attacked by a horned creature. She hides under the truck, but the creature manages to capture her through a jack-in-the-box.

Tom and Uncle Howard go out to look for Beth at her boyfriend’s house but they find it torn open with hoof prints on the snow. Something strikes them soon after, and they flee to their house.

One of the kids is later carried up the chimney and vanishes. Omi, an elderly family member, reveals that the creature attacking the house was an ancient ghost known as Krampus, who was summoned by families who had lost the Christmas spirit. Omi recalls her family and the entire village losing the Christmas joy when she was a child.

They unwittingly summoned Krampus, who dragged everyone to Hell. Soon, monstrous toys invade the house and begin wreaking havoc on the family. To make things worse, the evil Krampus’s diabolic elves enter the house and commence a bloody slaughter, among other gruesome acts.

Max realizes that it was his anger and hatred for Christmas that summoned the Krampus and his minions, so he lends a sincere apology to the Krampus. But will the Krampus accept such an apology?

Michael Dougherty directed Godzilla King of Monsters and several horror films, including the 2007 feature Trick ‘r Treat. The film’s location and tone are both curiously unsettling and amusing. If you dislike the ghosts of Christmases past, present, and future, Krampus is undoubtedly a spirit that will appeal to you.

    Santa’s Slay (2005)

    Santa’s Slay (2005)

A Christmas-themed display of brutality and horror has never been done better than by the Santa of “Santa’s Slay.” The movie starts with a Christmas meal for the Mason family. Santa Claus kills them in a variety of ridiculous methods, such as drowning Virginia Mason in eggnog.

Following the massacre, Santa goes on to terrorise the townspeople with his holiday-themed terror. Santa’s sleigh is drawn by a buffalo-like monster which the devilish Santa refers to as his Hell deer. He kills practically everyone at the local strip club, but a corrupt clergyman named Pastor Timmons manages to flee the scene alive.

Santa then goes to the deli of Mr. Green. He breaks some glass while entering and some more glass while trying to kill Mr. Green with his own menorah. Mr. Green gets pinned to the wall with it. This was one of the more ridiculous kills, though.

While Santa celebrates Christmas in his own unique way, a teenager called Nicholas learns from his eccentric grandfather that Santa was a virgin birth of Satan himself, according to the Book of Klaus.

It’s kind of like Jesus being God’s virgin-born kid. Did this imply that Santa resembled the Antichrist? In any case, Christmas was supposed to be Santa’s day of slaying, but in 1005 AD, an angel vanquished Santa in a game, and he was asked to give children presents for a thousand years.

That’s quite practical! Regardless, the film was released in 2005, which is understandable. Santa continued his evil ways of slaughtering and slaying after the 1000 years were up. Nicholas arrives at the deli and gets accused of killing Mr. Green. He tells the cops that Santa killed him, and we all know how that would go.

His girlfriend Mac bails him out of the station, and they go to Nicholas’s grandfather for safety and help. However, Santa follows them and the Hell deer runs over the good old grandfather, killing him.

Nicholas and Mac decide to simply wait the night out at the school, hoping that once Christmas is over, so will Santa’s powers. However, Santa comes to the gym and attacks them. We learn that Nicholas’ grandfather was the angel who defeated Santa millennia ago, which is a stunning turn of events.

As soon as Christmas is done, Santa and his Hell deer sleigh flee, but Mac’s father shoots the hell deer down with his bazooka! There are a lot of triggers in that town. Is Santa’s wrath, however, at an end?

The picture involves a slew of unpleasant and absurd events, as well as a total of 41 kills, or around one every two minutes. That’s fascinating.

    ‘Lobo: Paramilitary Christmas Special’

    ‘Lobo Paramilitary Christmas Special’

DC published this one-shot comic in 1992 as a limited edition special edition.

Ferryt and AurificeThung have children and are on the verge of running out of money to provide for them and their Christmas gifts. Mr. Ferryt used to tell his wife that he wanted to start a family, but what he really wanted was to be laid more frequently.

He should have given his strategy a lot more thought. Nonetheless, it is Christmas Eve, and the kids would be expecting presents the next morning. There’s a knock at the door, and when they open it, they discover a curious book called The Lobo Xmas Sanction.

The book seemingly provided details of how to scare demanding and naughty children and the contents of the book were to set the children straight, into good and well-behaving children. Mr. and Mrs. Thung believe that this book would solve their problems and save them from the children’s demands; they start reading it.

Lobo and Dawg approach a pub-like setting to see the Easter Bunny, who is Lobo’s client and is heavily intoxicated. The bunny assigns Lobo the task of assassinating Santa Claus himself. Lobo, for some reason, was delighted to accept the deal and set out on his voyage to the North Pole.

Lobo makes it to the North Pole and Santa’s lair. With flaming firearms and unequalled anger, he storms inside the workshop. He slaughters and kills a number of the elves, while the others choose to battle Lobo, whom they refer to as the “naughtiest of them all.”

They are elves, after all, and they don’t have guns, and their pop guns didn’t do any damage to Lobo. After turning the workshop into what can only be compared to a slaughterhouse, Lobo proceeds to hunt down his target. Interestingly, Santa is quite the opposite of the figure that we have in our minds.

He’s not a jolly old man with a smiling face but a gruesome and heartless taskmaster who has a gorilla named Kong as his pet. After a fierce and deadly battle, Lobo manages to kill Santa. Furthermore, he fills Santa’s sleigh with hydrogen bombs and rides it, to drop the bombs on unwitting and innocent populations across the world.

Mr. and Mrs. Thung are overjoyed after reading the terrifying storey. The couple appears to have been willing to be torn apart by bombs but not by their abrasive and irritated children. Ferryt shoots the sleeping children with his shotgun. The book, in a way, resolved their problems. Don’t attempt that at home, just kidding!

Lobo was portrayed by Andrew Bryniarski in a live-action rendition of Scott Leberecht’s comic in 2002.

    I Trapped The Devil (2019)

    I Trapped The Devil (2019)

Steve has been significantly psychologically damaged since the death of his wife Sarah, and he frequently sees Sarah’s visions on television and communicates to an unknown person in a disconcerting manner.

During the Christmas holidays, Steve’s brother Matt and his wife Karen pay him a surprise visit. Matt and Karen notice Steve behaving strangely and bring it up. After several heated exchanges, Steve leads Matt and Karen to a locked door with a cross on it, behind which someone was pleading for assistance.

He informs the couple, much to their amazement and dismay, that the man inside was the devil himself, who Steve had managed to trap. Matt doesn’t want his brother to go to jail as he believes he’s just crazy, but Karen doesn’t want to be an accomplice to the crime and demands that they inform the cops.

Matt convinces her by saying that they will release the man and seek help for his brother. Steve explains himself, telling Matt that he believes that by trapping the devil, he has trapped the evil intentions and deeds of the devil himself. By now, the audience is confused whether Steve really was crazy or had he actually managed to trap the devil.

Steve takes Matt into a room that’s filled with newspaper clippings and strings connecting them; apparently, this was how Steve managed to find a pattern that led him to the devil. When Matt asked about the unknown caller, Steve simply states that he believed that someone was coming to free the devil.

Meanwhile, Karen attempts to enter the locked chamber and liberate the trapped man, but she is thwarted. The captive man taunts Karen at this point. Steve enters the basement and drags Karen out while threatening his brother and sister-in-law with a gun.

Matt, on the other hand, persuades him to put it down, and the three of them retire for the night. While Steve is awakened by another of Sarah’s visions, Matt is awakened by an unsettling feeling and goes to the room where Steve’s newspaper clippings are kept. “Christmas Crash Claims Lives – Brentville Father Grieves,” he discovers a clipping there. Steve has fully lost it by this point.

Steve then goes to take a phone call, but upon returning, he locks Matt in his pattern room. Matt manages to escape the pattern room to find his wife, but Steve sees a vision of a longhaired man with his daughter’s stuffed toy in two pieces. After this, he gets transported to another vision of Sarah, in which he attempts to shoot her down.

Matt and Karen shake him to bring him back, while Steve goes on to free the man, only to get stabbed by Steve in the stomach. Matt and Karen manage to shake Steve back to reality. Matt attempts to get Steve to give up the pistol, but Karen has had enough and shoots Steve after he murders his brother and her husband.

Karen returns to the basement door, but it remains unmoved. Two cops arrive at the residence in the meantime, and one of them notices a vision of Santa in the static screen. The door is ultimately opened in the end, but there is no guy behind it. To learn more, watch the video.

    Sint (2010)

    Sint (2010)

There was a Dutch version of St. Nicholas more than 500 years ago. Niklas, the bishop, was anything but a child’s patron saint. The locals refused to tolerate any more horrors, such as murders and looting, at the hands of Niklas and his henchmen, and slaughtered Niklas and his men on December 5th, 1492.

The evil rose from the depths of their graves as violent creatures in the following years, but only on nights that corresponded with December 5th. People were unaware of these occurrences and continued to celebrate Sinterklaas every year on December 5th to commemorate Saint Nicholas’ birth day.

While the elders don’t have faith in the Saint, they make the kids believe that Saint Niklas was a holy and benevolent Saint. Furthermore, the film says that the Zwarte Pieten or St. Niklas’s companions were blackened by the fire in which they burned and not the soot from the chimneys from which they come down bearing gifts. Also, Niklas’ bishop staff is actually a murder weapon with razor-sharp points.

Many people had died the previous time Sinterklaas and his undead henchmen assaulted and terrified the community. The family of a little kid named Goert, who was now a cop, was among the deceased.

Niklas’ role is minimised and hidden by the authorities and the Church. On the full moon night when Goert anticipates St. Niklas and his zombie army to strike again, the film was released on December 5th, 2010.
