4. Nisemonogatari
High school student Koyomi Araragi has endured a vampire attack, met several girls plagued by supernatural entities and has just been trying to get by. Moreover, he wakes up one morning to find himself kidnapped and tied up by his girlfriend, Hitagi Senjougahara.
As a result of her encounter with Deishuu Kaiki, a swindler who conned Senjougahara’s family, she has imprisoned Araragi in order to keep him safe. When Araragi receives a frantic message from his sister Karen, he discovers that the fraud is after her.
Tsukihi, his other sister, is also dealing with problems. Upon meeting two mysterious women who seem to know more about Araragi and his special group of friends than they should, even he couldn’t anticipate their true intentions, much less the catastrophic truths that have a way of becoming apparent soon.
Bakemonogatari’s sequel is Nisemonogatari. There are many of the same characters from the first show, but there are also many new ones. This time, the focus is on Araragi’s sisters, Karen and Tsukihi.
Araragi Koyomi continues to show why he is one of the most interesting and well-respected male protagonists in anime. Considering the opportunity and the situation, the words he speaks are incredibly moving, even encouraging and true. It is easy to empathize with his beliefs and ideals, which he holds onto even under the most challenging circumstances.
5. Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata
For years, Tomoya Aki has been collecting anime and light novels, attaching himself to various series with captivating stories and characters. Tomoya now wants to provide the same experience for others by creating his own game, but he is unable to do so on his own.
While directing the visual novel, he recruits childhood friend Eriri Spencer Sawamura to illustrate and literary elitist Utaha Kasumigaoka to write the script. Having the super-group at his disposal, Tomoya now needs inspiration. Luckily, he meets the beautiful, docile Megumi Katou, on whom he bases his main character.
Aiming to touch the hearts of those who play their game, Tomoya creates a new doujin circle based on what he knows. In order to evoke these emotions, the creators have had to feel the same emotions themselves.
Despite the lack of creativity in the story, it is still enjoyable. Protagonists are known to do whatever it takes to fulfill their dreams, including in reality. Generally, the situations created in the course of the series are funny, pleasant and make those watching smile.
Characters are the anime’s strongest point. It is as if the author slowly fills in pieces of the puzzle of the characters as they describe the plot.
The series is generally quite satisfying and can be enjoyed by a variety of audiences. This is a very interesting show to watch because of the hours of comedies, dramas, and pinches of fanservice that it has.
6. Kill la Kill
Ryuuko Matoi has been wandering the land since her father was murdered, searching for his killer. She arrives at Honnouji Academy, a high school unlike any other, after following her only lead, the missing half of his invention, the Scissor Blade. Satsuki Kiryuuin, the imposing and cold-hearted student council president, rules the academy alongside her powerful underlings, the Elite Four.
Satsuki bestows upon those at the top of the school’s brutally competitive hierarchy special clothing called “Goku Uniforms,” which grant the wearers superhuman abilities.
Ryuuko returns to her razed home after being severely beaten by a student in uniform, where she discovers Senketsu, an extremely rare and sentient “Kamui,” or God Clothes. Ryuuko’s blood awakens Senketsu, which then latches onto her and gives her immense power.
Now, Ryuuko is armed with Senketsu and the Scissor Blade, hoping to reach Satsuki and uncover the truth about her father’s murder.
Anime tropes and clichés are amplified and inverted in Kill la Kill in order to deliver something exciting and fresh. Ryuuko’s revenge tale may be predictable, but it’s how the plot points are executed that sets it apart.
From the school setting, characters, and concepts to the absolutely epic action that takes place, everything is exaggerated. Throughout every episode, the show attempts to keep the ante high and never dwells on any single event for too long. This show doesn’t have much filler, and it plays with the viewer’s expectations by completely altering the outcome.
7. Golden Boy
As a part-time worker, Kintarou Ooe rides all over Japan on his trusty steed, the Mikazuki 5, and finds employment wherever he can. In his adventures, he gains knowledge and experience that can’t be taught in a classroom, from political corruption to the delicate nature of a young woman’s heart.
Kintarou has nothing but the open road before him-and a lot of beautiful women along the way-and; he attempts to hold down his various odd jobs, no matter how beneath him they seem. Who knows what will happen as he learns from each task he undertakes? Perhaps one day, he will be able to save the world. It is certain that all of this will be very educational.
There isn’t much plot to Golden Boy, but somehow, it just makes you love it even more. Each episode focuses on Kintaro going from temporary job to temporary job, always finding these beautiful women.
Kintaro Oe is the only constant in Golden Boy, an episodic show. It follows a simple formula. Kintaro finds a job somewhere new. To learn the job’s nuances, he tries his best. He gets into some trouble.
By doing something unexpected, he impressed the woman who had resented him for whatever he had done in the past. She falls in love with him, but by then, it is too late. Usually, he is off to find a new job.
8. Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari
A mysterious group has kidnapped Kenshi Masaki and brought him to the world of Geminar. He agrees to assassinate the newly crowned empress of the Shtrayu Empire, Lashara Aasu XXVIII, using the Sacred Mechanoid so he can return home.
As her army battles them off, Lashara takes note of Kenshi’s abilities and demands that he be captured alive, only to discover that he is a male, which is extremely rare on Geminar. She makes Kenshi her attendant, believing it would be a waste to kill him.
Kenshi, as the empress’ new servant, is assigned to accompany Lashara to the Holy Land, an academy where Sacred Mechanoid pilots hone their skills. Kenshi’s arrival attracts attention, but he is unaware that something sinister is brewing within the academy, and it could bring the world to its knees.
The plot has so many twists and turns, which is admirable because there isn’t much anime that can make your predictions wrong. In every scene that a mysterious character is shown, it will leave you wondering. Later on, you will know, and you will be surprised by everything when revelations come.
Being of the harem genre, the female characters are very diverse in terms of personality and looks. However, unlike other harem series, you will actually find yourself liking all of the main female cast.
The main relationships, along with character and plot development, pretty much happen around Kensh; he is the main character, after all.
9. To LOVE-Ru
The timid 16-year-old Rito Yuuki has yet to confess his love for classmate Haruna Sairenji, who has intrigued him since junior high. Rito’s situation becomes even more challenging when, one night, a mysterious, naked girl crashes right on top of him as he is bathing.
Additionally, Rito discovers that Lala Satalin Deviluke is the crown princess of an alien empire and has fled her home. Despite being the heir to the most powerful empire in all of space, Lala is more than willing to marry the unassuming Rito in order to avoid an unwanted political marriage.
To LOVE-Ru shows Rito coping with the bizarre chaos that begins when Lala arrives. To LOVE-Ru is a slapstick romantic comedy filled with sexy girls and outlandishly lewd moments that defy the laws of physics.
The goal of To LOVE-Ru is to provide the viewer with an endless supply of ecchi with a side of cliched but still grin-inducing comedy. Fans of slice-of-life and harem will enjoy To Love-Ru. In the ecchi genre, the comedy here might not be anything new, but it is very easy to follow and understand.
There are still strange and unusual elements in the story, but the protagonist doesn’t seem surprised when an alien crashes into him. Despite the lack of explanation, the anime is still very funny. Its main strength is its well-crafted characters.
10. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt
Panty and Stocking, the “Anarchy Sisters,” have been expelled from Heaven for misbehaving, to put it mildly. These angels, led by a priest named Garterbelt, must exterminate ghosts in Daten City in order to return to heaven. For these unorthodox angels, however, this task requires unconventional weapons-they convert their lingerie into weapons in order to dispatch the spirits.
Both of them prefer to spend their time on other “hobbies”: Panty prefers to sleep with anything that walks, and Stocking prefers stuffing her face with sweets to hunting ghosts.
In Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, two unruly angels battle ghosts, body fluids, and their own tendency to get sidetracked.
The story is your basic monster-of-the-week story with Panty and Stocking fighting a different ghost in each episode and each ghost having his own unique powers. However, because this is such a short anime, the episodical nature of the story doesn’t wear you down.
The story of this series is really difficult to judge. Not only because the actual plot of the anime is very simple and straightforward, but also because it is comedy series. And not just any comedy series, but it’s a parody comedy series. Each episode is named after a movie or television series. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt will take elements and ideas from those shows and movies and implement them into the episodes.
This oddball show is fantastic. This anime is a strange comedy that everyone who likes a good comedy should watch.
11. Prison School
As a leading boarding school for girls, Hachimitsu Private Academy is known for its disciplined students and high academic standards. The school’s most iconic policy will soon change, as boys will now be able to enroll as well as girls.
Only five boys have been accepted at the beginning of the first semester under this new decree, effectively splitting the student body into two hundred girls to one boy.
The first impressions of Kiyoshi, Gakuto, Shingo, Andre, and Jo are quickly swept aside before they have a chance to develop. Due to their inability to communicate with female classmates, the eager boys took on an even more dangerous task: peeping into the girls’ baths!
Upon their plan being completely dismantled by the infamous Underground Student Council, the motley crew finds their freedom abruptly taken away as they are sentenced to a month in the school’s prison.
This is the start of a story that will document the harsh lives of the boys in Prison School, a story that will ultimately test the bonds of friendship and perverted brotherhood.
All of the characters are interesting and have good development. You will never forget anyone, and you will miss them if they aren’t around. All of these characters are unique and great in their own way, so there is nothing dull about them. The main characters are all distinct.
Funny and outrageous, it’s simply hilarious. This anime also has the advantage of letting you feel the emotions of the characters.
12. Ike! Ina-chuu Takkyuubu
Kyoko Iwashita, a new manager at the Inaho Junior High Ping-Pong Club, offers the team something they cannot refuse—a “sex pass,” a voucher granting her most talented player unlimited access to her body throughout the month. One of many ways in which this ping-pong club exceeds the realm of normalcy.
Maeno is the most troublesome member of the Ping-Pong Club, finding bizarre ways to distract the team each day. While the rest of the team contributes to these mischievous acts, Takeda, the club’s captain, tries to endure the team’s antics.
Kyoko, the stern but resilient manager, provides some support when popular vice-captain Yuusuke Kinoshita is being swept away by girls.
Because the risk of their team being dissolved is ever-present, Takeda and his friends must overcome numerous obstacles. However, it is usually Maeno who devises schemes that are just so insane that they have a chance of working that puts the club at risk. Can Maeno and his ludicrous stunts help his team persevere, or will they continue to just be a nuisance to the Ping-Pong Club?
This is the most twisted and perverted comedy ever with the funniest characters and situations ever. Each episode of the ping pong club features a new sort of crazy delusion, as the six members just goof around. A few romances and the threat of the club being closed due to a lack of members constitute the majority of the story.
13. Air Gear
AT, or Air Trecks, are motorized and futuristic inline skates that are taking the nation by storm. The AT comes with a speed limiter, but a community of daredevils called the Storm Riders have tampered with the device. Individual teams use ATs for underground battles and wager valuable AT parts or team emblems – their symbol of pride – in order to dominate the streets.
A middle school student notorious for getting into street fights lives in this era: Itsuki Minami. In order to reach heights no one else can, the reckless punk, along with his best friends Kazuma Mikura and Onigiri, will break through any obstacle that stands in his way. But when he discovers a pair of Air Trecks in his house, the path to his true desire opens up: to rule the skies.
Air Gear manages to make an exciting anime with this basic concept, which may seem like rollerblading with anime additions. The development of the characters and pace of the story in this average-length show will leave you satisfied after each episode.
Air Treks’ emphasis on character development is what makes it an enjoyable experience. Although some of the characters are pretty anime cliches, Air Gear goes a long way toward fleshing them out. It’s easy to understand and relate to the characters. There are many humorous moments in the series, whether it’s being perverted, clumsy, or just plain sleazy.

You will laugh and get excited like never before. The anime does not focus on any topic that may benefit you in your life or anything like that; it is just a crazy comic and fun story.
This show is a joy to watch for any fan of fan service ecchi shows. It is not necessary that the anime should be meaningful and beneficial in order to enjoy it because pleasure does not come in one way but rather in many different ways, so the fun will not be the same. Overall, this anime is really fun and unique.
15. Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry
Humans are few in this world who are able to manipulate their souls to create powerful weapons. Students of the Hagun Academy, dubbed “Blazers,” train to become Mage-Knights; among the students is Ikki Kurogane, the sole F-rated Blazer.
When the worst student at the academy sees Stella Vermillion naked, a high-ranking Blazer who also happens to be a princess, she challenges him to a duel whose outcome is dire–the loser becomes the slave of the winner. Stella can’t possibly lose, can she?
This story follows Ikki as he tries to prove his strength to a world that believes he is the weakest, all the while gaining new friends, wisdom, and experience.
Rakudai is an interesting beast to analyze since it seems to contradict its own clichéd nature. Despite the show’s self-awareness, it does not belittle or parody such tropes but plays them to the best of its ability.
There are several ways this is manifested in the way the characters are presented and handled, alternating between predictable instances of their archetypes and legitimately thought-out character moments.
Following the story isn’t difficult at all. If you sit back and don’t think too much about it, you’ll have a better idea of the direction it’s heading in. The love story is also the same. Our main characters may be generic ones whom we’ve seen in a lot of anime, but in this, they’re done right.
16. Chobits
Can love continue to exist if computers start looking like humans?
Hideki Motosuwa, a young country boy, is seeking admission to college through hard work. As someone from a low-income background, he can barely afford expenses, let alone the latest fad: Persocoms, computers that look just like people. As he walks home one evening, he finds an abandoned Persocom.
Once she is activated at home, however, she can only say one word, “Chii,” which eventually becomes her name. However, unlike other Persocoms, Chii is not able to download information to her hard drive, so Hideki teaches her about the world the old-fashioned way, at the same time as studying for his college entrance exams.
As Hideki and his friends try to unravel the mystery of Chii, they discover that she may be a “Chobit,” a legendary type of device that has real feelings, thoughts, and feelings toward its owner. Can romance blossom between a Persocom and a human?
It’s an amazing story. There is romance, suspense, and so much more. Even though the story is quite slow, it doesn’t seem so. Each episode portrays the development of the characters in a serious and humorous way. The first episodes are funny, but the mood shifts to a more romantic perspective as the series progresses.
The characters’ evolution in this show is quite remarkable, and you have probably never seen anything like it before. If you like a romance with lots of humor but also serious parts, then this is the anime for you.
17. Sunabouzu
As all that remains of post-apocalyptic Japan is the Great Kanto Desert, a sweltering desert of nothing but ruins and sand. Inhospitable dunes have forced the once-prosperous population to cling to life.
Normal people are like that, at least. Deserts offer a wonderful opportunity to those who have spent too much time in the Kanto sun.
Desert Punk, the masked handyman known as Sunabouzu, has earned a reputation for finishing jobs no matter the cost or complexity. Due to his cunning and ruthlessness, he has become a destructive force for the other desert tribes.
“Vixen of the Desert,” Junko Asagiri, learns that Sunabouzu is not without weaknesses – he is prone to lusting after large-breasted desert babes.
Through a series of chaotic adventures through the Kanto Desert, Sunabouzu presents a bizarre cast of characters who partake in senseless violence and perversion in a world long destroyed by their forefathers. Just like them, they haven’t learned a thing.
Sunabouzu’s characters are by far its biggest draw. The pervert Kanta is the funniest person on this planet, and it’ll make you laugh out loud.
Generally, this is a happy, “feel good” series. With it, you’ll enjoy the time you spend together, as well as the laughter it brings you. However, don’t let the comedy fool you, since this show has some great action scenes.
18. Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?
16-year-old Ayumu Aikawa was tragically murdered while investigating a suspicious house. Eucliwood Hellscythe appears next to him when he awakens, a strange armored girl. As a necromancer, she has revived Ayumu, thus transforming him into a zombie!
In order to find his killer, Ayumu sets out now that he is immortal. As he was searching in a cemetery, Haruna, a boisterous young girl wearing a magical girl’s dress, battled a bear with a chainsaw. Ayumu’s memories of Haruna are supposed to be erased after she kills the beast, but he absorbs her magic instead.
As a result of losing her powers, Haruna orders Ayumu to take up her role as a hunter of the strange creatures known as “Megalo,” monsters that roam the world and terrorize its citizens.
Ayumu experiences a ludicrous life in which the supernatural becomes the norm as he begins his new, ludicrous life as a zombie.
Overall, the characters are fairly typical harem stereotypes. However, since all of them are part of the supernatural world, things are slightly different. While they all have a higher purpose in life, they can all be hilariously funny at the same time.
In general, they seem like proper characters, unlike the majority of harem animes. The antagonists in this anime are unexpected but manage to be entertaining in their own ways.
Like most harem animes, the plot isn’t the show’s main focus. Despite this, it seems quite promising at first glance.
19. High School DxD
High school student Issei Hyoudou is a typical pervert who looks at women and dreams of one day owning a harem. Issei’s life appears to be turning around when a beautiful girl asks him out on a date but turns out to be a fallen angel who brutally kills him!
He is given a second chance at life, however, when beautiful senior student Rias Gremory, a top-class demon, revives him and recruits him into the school’s Occult Research club.
As Issei adjusts to his new life, he must train and fight to survive in the violent world of angels and devils. In his new adventure, he has many risqué moments with his new comrades, all the while keeping his new life secret from his friends and family in High School DxD!
The story begins simply but soon takes on a much more serious tone. The anime begins as an “ultimate harem” anime, and we can see both the excellent world-building and the creative way the plot is presented.
They are truly amazing characters. Rias is cool, Akeno is perverted, and Koneko is quiet. Issei, in particular, grows as a person in the show.
Issei is depicted as a hopeless pervert in the first episodes of the series, but as the series progresses, he is revealed to care about other people and pursue his dreams.
20. Mushibugyou
Feudal Japan is plagued by giant insects that ravage the land. The people are desperate for the government to act. Therefore, the Insect Magistrate Office is established, bringing together strong warriors to defend against the onset of pests.
Mushibugyou focuses on a young man who aspires to be a master swordsman like his father, Jinbee Tsukishima. The Insect Magistrate Office is Jinbee’s means of atoning for an incident that he caused.
As he travels there, he meets Haru, a young woman who works for her family’s tea house and is forced to make use of his sword to save her from a grisly fate. Because of his bravery, he has been appointed to the Insect Magistrate. Can the rookie exterminator get rid of the horde of insects swarming in?
The show balances between seriousness and comedy. The whole plot is not something exceptional or too extraordinary. The concept of fighting monstrous creatures to save people is well-known and widely spread amongst the animes of the likely genres. What is positive and different that can be found in this particular piece is, however, the way they manage to recreate the spirit of old Japan.
The characters overall aren’t really all that special. That is, at first, everything becomes a lot better as time goes on, characters included. Character development is actually rather robust.
The show is always entertaining to watch, even though the start is a little slow. It never feels like a chore, and you are always left excited for the next episode.
21. Sankarea
Chihiro Furuya has been fascinated by zombies since he was a child. When Chihiro’s cat Baabu gets run over, his love for zombies comes in handy, so he makes a resurrection potion to bring him back to life.
A rich girl named Rea Sanka shouts into an old well every day about her oppressive life during his endeavor. Rea convinces Chihiro to persevere in saving Baabu after meeting and bonding with her. In the end, he succeeds thanks to the poisonous hydrangeas in Rea’s family garden.
Rea drinks the resurrection potion, unaware of its success and hoping to escape the burden of her life. Her death from a fatal accident does not kill her, but the effects still last, and she is reborn as a zombie after she dies. Chihiro helps Rea adjust to her new life as an undead.
A situation like this would seem like a dream come true for a boy who wants a zombie girlfriend. As a result of Rea’s strange new cravings and the unforeseen consequences of her transformation, Chihiro’s life in Sankarea becomes stranger than usual.
This anime’s two main characters have a blossoming romance that is characteristic of a romantic comedy.
It works because the main couple is a little more real than the usual types who populate these kinds of stories, and Chihiro isn’t some unrestrained pervert, regardless of his zombie obsession.
22. Sora no Otoshimono
Tomoki Sakurai has always awoken with tears after a dream of an angel since he was a child. Sohara Mitsuki, his childhood friend, worries about this and seeks the help of Eishirou Sugata, an eccentric sky maniac. The dream of Tomoki, he concludes, is undoubtedly connected to what is known as the New World, a floating anomaly that science has not yet understood.
By recruiting the first members of the club, Eishirou schedules a meeting to observe the mystery in the sky. On that day, Tomoki’s peaceful life is forever altered when a strange girl falls from the sky and begins to call him master.
The story follows the daily activities of the New World Discovery Club as they discover more about the Angeloids.
Although the anime does not focus exclusively on a story-driven plot, this does not mean it lacks one. The anime actually becomes quite entertaining as it transitions to darker-toned scenes, which change how you see angeloids. In addition, there are many hilarious fan service episodes. The show is sure to make you laugh.
Sora no Otoshimono makes you laugh despite its random humor. Additionally, the characters are set up in just the right proportions for a comedy anime. It’s a great watch.
23. Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru?
Hibiki Sakura’s best friend, Ayaka Uehara, confronts her about her ever-expanding waistline during a regular after-school grub crawl. Hibiki is about to join the newly opened Silverman Gym after her attempts at solitary exercise fail miserably. Hibiki meets student council president and school idol Akemi Souryuuin at her orientation.
Hibiki soon discovers that she is in for a lot more than she bargained for. Silverman Gym is not only full of world-renowned bodybuilders and athletes, but Akemi proves to be a total muscle fetishist as well!
When Hibiki sees the scene unfold before her eyes, she begins to leave but is stopped by trainer Naruzou Machio. Hibiki is enthralled by her newfound Prince Charming, so she signs up for a gym membership. She must now adapt to her new lifestyle as a result of her spur-of-the-moment decision.
What the series manages to do with its cast is the impressive part because, with simple character traits, it manages to deliver smooth and hilarious comedy. It’s got a colorful cast of characters who each add their own flair to the show and showcases some really solid comedy.
This anime has a simple enough story. But where Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru truly shines is taking this and turning it into a ride filled with supremely entertaining characters introduced throughout the run of the 12 episodes.
Dumbbell Nan Kilo Moteru? Certainly has tons of entertainment value, which is one of the most important factors in any form of media.
24. Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai
Since Japan introduced strict new morality laws, it has become a nation freed from obscene and impure practices. As a way of ensuring chastity in society, authorities monitor citizens with special neckbands.
Tanukichi Okuma is the son of an infamous terrorist who opposed the chastity laws, is just entering high school. He offers his help to the student council to get close to Anna Nishikinomiya, his childhood friend and crush.
Little does he know, however, that Ayame Kajou has a secret identity: masked criminal Blue Snow, who spreads lewd material amongst the sheltered public-and Tanukichi’s fame has caught her attention.
Tanukichi is soon dragged into joining her group, SOX, where he is forced to spread obscene propaganda, helping to overthrow the oppressive regime. Tanukichi must do the unthinkable when he realizes that their primary target is the person he admires the most.
This show is best known for its characters. Throughout the show, most of the main characters grow and change in their own way. Some characters change so dramatically that this adds to the humor of the show. The characters are what make this show stand out from the rest.
Take it easy and enjoy the ride. Have a good laugh, and don’t take it too seriously.
25. Mayo Chiki!
In order to survive the various grappling positions and locks that his mother and sister imposed on him, Kinjirou Sakamachi developed a resilient body that could withstand hard punches, aggressive kicks, and even deadly vehicle bumps.
He also developed a phobia of women, called gynophobia. When a girl touches him, his nose bleeds uncontrollably, he sweats excessively, and in rare cases, he faints suddenly.
A fateful encounter in the restroom changes his life. A girl makes him try to escape until he learns that the most popular student at the school, Subaru Konoe—the butler of Kanade Suzutsuki, the headmaster’s daughter—is actually a girl!
Surprised, Subaru attacks Kinjirou and knocks him unconscious, dealing significant damage. After waking up, Subaru meets Kanade. She promises to help him overcome his phobia in exchange for his silence.
Every character in this comedy is different; they are funny, they have their own goals, and even though this is a harem, they do not like Kenjirou at first sight. The characters are interesting; they are all unique and not just the usual or cliche characters found in other anime series.
This anime is enjoyable due to its comedy and romance genres. Also, this anime has a rare harem genre since it is shared by both Konoe and Kinjirou. It is fun to learn more about the characters’ personalities.
Watch this anime whenever you feel down. You’ll be happier/more joyful than you expected.
26. Zero no Tsukaima
In the world of cloaks, wands, and royalty, Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière is self-absorbed. Although she attends Tristain Academy, a prestigious school for magicians, Louise has a major problem: she is incapable of casting magic, earning her the nickname of “Louise the Zero” from her classmates.
Louise’s summoning causes a ruckus when first-year students are required to perform a summoning ritual! Several people deem this to be yet another failure, but after the smoke clears, Saito Hiraga appears.
Saito, Louise’s familiar, is now forced to clean her clothes and eat off the ground. The brand that is found etched on Saito’s hand is thought to be the mark of a powerful familiar named Gandalfr.
Zero no Tsukaima is a wild, adventurous, and explosive story that follows Saito as he learns how to adjust to his new life, and Louise proves to be more than just a name.
The story’s driving force is the relationship between Louise and Saito. Slowly, as their relationship develops, small plot twists reveal why the boy is so special. Louise always seems to make a mess, and she always gets in the way.
There isn’t much depth to the plot. There are many tools that have already been used a great deal. The characters are somewhat cliché. This may be one of its charms. You don’t have to think outside the anime box. You can just enjoy some crazy characters and their antics.
27. Rosario to Vampire
The students at Youkai Academy are monsters learning how to coexist with humans. Each student attends in human form and takes normal academic courses, such as literature, gym, foreign languages, and mathematics. At Youkai Academy, there is, however, one golden rule – all humans found on school grounds are to be executed immediately.
Despite his good grades, Tsukune Aono cannot get into any high school. In an attempt to keep him in school, his parents enroll him in Youkai Academy accidentally.
He unknowingly runs into the most attractive girl on campus, Moka Akashiya, as he enters this new world. As he stays in the perilous realm in order to advance his relationship with Moka, he doesn’t realize that underneath her beauty lurks a menacing monster-a vampire.
A supernatural school comedy about the romantic adventures, experiences, and mishaps of Tsukune as he deals with many beautiful but dangerous creatures.
The episodes of this anime follow a set of rules. Moka beats Tsukune to death when a challenger appears, and that’s the end of that. Every harem series has a list of waifus. The monsters are all distinct from one another, with their own unique personalities.
It’s like assembling a well-assembled puzzle. In general, the anime is entertaining. When watching something, it’s essential to have characters with a wide range of personalities. The characters in Rosario to Vampire are varied.
28. Inukami!
Kawahira Keita is descended from an ancient Inukami tamer family, but because he lacks the ability, his family abandoned him. One day, an Inukami named Youko approached him. She was graceful, obedient, and most of all, beautiful. Soon after, they entered into a contract, and she paid homage. She was, however, a problematic Inukami, who no one had been able to control.
A slap stick comedy starring an Inukami Tamer, Keita, and an Inukami, Youko. Keita is a man with many worldly passions, and he is very fond of money and girls. The opposite is true for Youko, who likes to destroy things and is very jealous.
There is more to anime than meets the eye. A truly enjoyable anime is one that is created with passion. Its hook is the unique comedy and curiosity about the situations the characters get themselves into.
In episodes that stand alone, the story does follow some cliches but is very original at times. Character development is very limited, even among the main characters. It is intended to be a pure comedy anime, and as such, things like story and characters are not its strengths. You watch to enjoy and laugh at the hilarious situations that occur.
You can have a lot of fun watching this anime, and it’s highly recommended for those who enjoy original comedy and engaging characters.
29. Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!
Hana Uzaki reunites with Shinichi Sakurai during her freshman year at college, an upperclassman she was in the same club with during her high school days. As a result, the once active senior has turned into a “lonesome” student who prefers to spend his free time alone.
From taking Sakurai to the movies to going to his part-time job, Uzaki does whatever she can to prevent him from feeling lonely. Sakurai dislikes Uzaki, but he still goes along with her shenanigans, even though he knows that her perky personality will only lead them into various comical situations.
Even so, as time passes, their relationship only gets better, so that people around them mistakenly believe they are a couple. Uzaki is always up for fun and wacky fun when she wants to hang out with her upperclassmen!
Even though Uzaki is a great character, the series would not be the same without Sakurai. In contrast to many series with a clear main pair, this series has a lot of back and forth banter and not one-sided bullying.
Despite Uzaki’s strength, Sakurai is no slouch either and always responds appropriately. There is no way to predict what either of them will do, and their reactions are even more unpredictable. Also, the supporting cast is fully committed to supporting the growth of the main pair rather than acting as a hindrance.
30. Needless
The effects of World War III on Japan could not have been predicted at the onset of the conflict. Even though it ended fifty years ago in 2150, its battles still rage today. The mysterious areas known as “Blackspots” appeared throughout the country, contaminated with the remains of cities and rural areas.
To stop the spread of contamination, those inside were trapped, and their powers began to change. Shapeshifters, pyromancers, and gravity controllers all became known as Needles.
Adam Blade is one such Needle, possessing remarkable regenerative powers and incredible strength. He and his allies must unite against a heinous research group called Simeon in order to restore peace to war-torn Japan.
Comedy/action series are primarily driven by jokes and fights. “Needless” has a pretty simple premise. An assortment of characters with recognizable personalities brawl it out over 24 episodes. The show is just hilarious. When things got too serious or emotional, something funny would be thrown in.
In the story, all the characters have important and perfect roles. Aside from their role in the story, all the characters have something funny happen to them that is well done, and this helps lessen the overall seriousness of most animes of the action genre.
Almost every anime you can think of is parodied, and it’s often parodied by itself. Occasionally, the characters are even aware that they are in an anime and make fun of each other.
31. Abenobashi Mahou☆Shoutengai
As only a 12-year-old can, Satoshi “Sasshi” Imamiya feels his life is in ruins. As he learns that his childhood friend, Arumi Asahina, will be leaving, his childish dilemmas worsen.
Suddenly, their problems are swept aside for something surreal, and they find themselves transported through bizarre worlds of science fiction, magic, and war.
Any attempt to escape will only catapult them into another alien world. Soon, the two realize that every world is just a reimagining of their hometown. They just might be able to escape their predicament with the help of two unfamiliar faces—the voluptuous Mune-mune and the blue-haired Eutus.
Sasshi and Arumi’s comedic exploits are followed in Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai as they attempt to return home. They begin to wonder, however, if the cause of their situation is more personal than they thought when they uncover a tale spanning generations. Do they really want to return home?
The two main characters are really close friends. Sasshi is a good example of a teenager who is still a bit childish with his dreams and behavior, while Arumi is a more mature character who easily gets mad at Sasshi’s stupid behavior. We get a peek at their families and their pasts as well, which makes you understand the main characters and their intentions better.
This anime is one of those rare things that is as complicated as you want it to be. It can be just a parody humor show, or a more complicated tale with serious points to make about the urban decline and the loss of community feeling, and also about genre cliches, on top of simply being funny as hell.
32. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai
Kodaka Hasegawa is determined to make a good impression at a new school when he finds out he will be transferring. Kodaka, however, discovers he is out of luck when he is immediately branded a violent delinquent due to his blond hair and intimidating appearance.
Despite a month passing, Kodaka remains alone due to his notorious reputation. In an empty classroom, he finds fellow loner Yozora Mikazuki talking to her imaginary friend.
Kodaka and Yozora decide to start the Neighbor’s Club after sharing stories of their lonely high school life. Designed for people who do not have friends, daily activities involve them learning social skills and how to fit in, which hopefully will enable them to make friends.
With the help of eroge-obsessed Sena Kashiwazaki and other eccentric outcasts, Kodaka may have finally found friends in this club of hilarious oddballs.
This anime conveys the message that it is not about how many friends you have but rather how valuable one friend is.
The comedy is generally pretty funny. One of the funniest parts of the club is its fruitless attempts at making friends, such as playing multiplayer games, singing karaoke, and staying in touch using cell phones. All of these efforts fail miserably.
Throughout the show, the “Neighbors Club” tries to gain popularity and make friends, but the efforts are doomed. Although most of their attempts fail, the story does convey a rather nice message about friendship coming from unexpected places.
33. Kiddy Grade
The human race has colonized many planets throughout the universe in the distant future. To maintain order, the Galactic Organization of Trade and Tariffs (GOTT) has been formed. A secret squad of enhanced humans known as the ES Unit is part of GOTT’s secret operations to stop major galactic crimes. Éclair and Lumière, two C-rank operatives, fall into this category.
Both Éclair and Lumière have formidable abilities, despite being at the bottom of the totem pole: Éclair’s superhuman strength and lipstick whip, and Lumière’s ability to take control of any computer.
Together, they can handle any mission that GOTT throws at them. As the duo completes more and more missions, they uncover a massive conspiracy that leaves them questioning everything they’ve ever known about themselves and the universe.
The protagonists are Éclair and Lumière, who receive a surprising amount of back story for a series of this type. Eclair’s powers are pretty basic: super strength, reflexes, etc. She’s tough as nails. She’s exuberant, short-tempered, and excitable.
Lumière can control electronics, which has some cool applications in the series. The level-headed partner, she has a strong love of grape juice. Their chemistry as partners is really great, and they make a great team.
Kiddy Grade mixes episodic plots into several different arcs to tell many stories at the same time. The action keeps you interested.
34. Vandread
Vandread is a world in which men are from Mars and women are from Venus! Well, not entirely. With the help of technology, mankind has colonized the Milky Way galaxy, and on one star system, men and women live on different planets, Taraak and Mejere. To the point where they no longer see each other as the same species, a bitter and very literal gender war rages!
After a botched attempt to steal a robot, Hibiki Tokai, a male third-class laborer from Taraak, ends up stuck on a battleship. Things don’t look good for Hibiki when female pirates capture the Taraakian Vanguard.
Unfortunately, it does; when the Vanguard’s male crew members fired on their captured vessel out of desperation, they created a wormhole that sucked their own ships into it! Since they are far from their home planets, these men and women must learn to work together if they hope to return.
Vandread is an excellent space/sci-fi/mecha/comedy anime with a premise not found in any other show, and that is that men and women live on different planets and know nothing about each other.
As a result, the character interactions are hilarious. Despite its comical nature, there are certainly moments of seriousness in the show.
There is nothing too complicated about the story, but as it progresses, it gets deeper and deeper, adding more action and battles. As far as the character development is concerned, there are no empty characters.
35. Madan no Ou to Vanadis
A war between enemy nations is brewing in a fantasy version of Europe. In Zhcted, one of these countries, there are seven regions ruled by War Maidens, called Vanadis. Eleonora “Elen” Viltaria, one of the Vanadis, invades Brune, a neighboring rival nation, with the help of powerful dragon-carved weapons.
Tigrevurmud “Tigre” Vorn, an archer and earl of Brune’s region of Alsace, eventually loses his entire army to Elen. The bizarre twist of events is that Elen spares Tigre and orders him, “Become mine!” What is the significance of this new alliance?
In Mandan no Ou to Vanadis, you’ll find both beautiful women and complex war tactics. Suddenly caught up in a multinational conflict, Tigre and Elen are sucked into a war filled with dark secrets, conspiracies, and corruption.
The protagonist of the series, Tigrevrumud Vorn, is your typical anime hero. He’s brave, honest, and cares about people. His father left him his homeland, which he takes very seriously as a feudal lord. Personality-wise, he is very innocent and respectful. Due to how well he used his resources during the war, he is a calm, tactful person who is not quick to show anger.
Eleonora Viltaria is cunning and carefree and yet is totally serious when on the battlefield.
You get captivated from the very first episode. Everything flows, and there is no long wait for the plot to get going. This anime is mostly about the tactics of war, and it’s quite a watch.
36. Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to The Animation
Perverted manga artist Yuuki Aito dreams of drawing as many panties as he can. He constantly asks to use his female assistants as references for the manga he draws since he is surrounded by so many.
Despite his degenerate mind, Aito can also be very kind, generous, and helpful. As a result of his duality of behavior, his assistants are confused-do they love the considerate side of him he rarely displays, or do they hate him for the perverse thoughts he has most of the time?
There isn’t much of a story here. The 12 episodes show the team in different situations. This anime shows various skits. They are all funny and entertaining.
Mangaka Aito Yuuki, who plays our protagonist, is a pervert. One of those funny and cool perverts, not one of those perverts you hate. Occasionally thoughtful, but his pervertedness ruins the mood. He is a very funny character.
He has a variety of assistants, each with a unique personality. Depending on their importance or relationship with Aito, some girls get more screen time than others. Each girl, however, adds a unique flavor to the show.
Just as enjoyable as any other comedy anime. You’ve got your average events in check. The animation is really nice, and the comedy is laughable. It’s quite an enjoyable short series which is a good time pass with loads of laughter. Overall, a splendid comedy short to watch with a nice dose of eye candy.
37. Love Hina
When he was young, Keitaro Urashima promised to meet up with a girl at Tokyo University. Keitaro ranked 27th from the bottom in the National Practice Exam.
While Keitaro was studying for Tokyo U, he intended to stay at his grandmother’s hotel, not knowing that the hotel had been turned into a girls’ dormitory. A strange turn of events led Keitaro to become the resident manager of the dorm, where he lives with five other girls.
The content in some of the episodes is a bit off the main storyline. It’s like each episode have its own story and then ends up with the main story. Love Hina is the quintessential harem anime. However, it plays with the associated tropes very well and has enough charm and wit to endear them to the audience.
Most of the time, the show focuses on the characters and their relationships within Hinata Apartments, as well as their crazy antics to avoid getting bored. As in any harem series, the characters form the spine and take center stage. Every character has something to offer the show.
Keitaro is one of the more likable lead characters in an anime because of the torment he’s endured from the tenants of the Hinata Apartments. His devotion to the girl he promised almost 20 years before the main plot and his determination to get into Tokyo University, even after repeated rejections, almost make up for his bland looks and personality.
38. Sekirei
Minato Sahashi, a brilliant yet struggling teenager, has failed his college entrance exams for the second time, leading others to view him as worthless. Suddenly, a beautiful, supernatural woman falls from the sky and changes the course of his seemingly bleak future.
As a Sekirei, Musubi is an extraterrestrial humanoid being with extraordinary abilities. The aliens are known for kissing humans carrying the Ashikabi gene to awaken their latent powers.
Musubi, realizing the potential within the seemingly insignificant youth, kisses Minato, beginning a bond between the two of them. He is then pulled into the high-stakes world of the Sekirei, where he and his new partner must compete against others for survival in the “Sekirei Plan.”
The competition, however, has far more at stake than initially thought.
The story is pretty straightforward like any other Ecchi anime. There aren’t many surprises in the story, as is the case with most ecchi animes. As the story unfolds, the plot and concepts/constructs are explained adequately.
Sekirei’s real strength lies in its characters. There is no way you won’t like one of the characters since they are all so different. This anime’s appeal comes largely from its Sekirei. Their personalities and constant battle to be Minato’s one love are highly comical at times.
It’s a very entertaining show. Watching this is sure to make anyone with a sense of humor laugh every other minute.
39. Trinity Seven
It was one day when the red sun stopped shining, which caused the “Breakdown Phenomenon” that caused Arata Kasuga’s town to collapse and its inhabitants to disappear. Arata’s world, however, gets artificially reconstructed using the magical grimoire given to him by his childhood friend and cousin Hijiri Kasuga.
Arata’s artificial world suddenly disintegrates when Lilith Asami appears to investigate the phenomenon. He has two choices: hand over the book or die.
Arata, however, decides to enroll in the top-secret magic school Royal Biblia Academy, where six other magical users await him. This group of six, along with Lilith, form the Trinity Seven, the elite members of the school.
Arata does everything in his power to prevent the destruction of his hometown and to bring back Hijiri with the help of his new friends.
It starts out a bit mysterious, but it keeps you wanting more. Sometimes, you finish watching an episode and wish it continued. Everything seems to fit into the world fairly well, and the events all seem well planned. Each section adds to the overall effect, which makes it very satisfying to watch.
This anime’s strongest point is its likable and well-made characters. Because of the adequate character development, you get to know some of the characters a little better than in other anime. Each character adds to the feeling of the anime and adds to its uniqueness.
40. Highschool of the Dead
Japan was thrown into total chaos when suddenly the dead began rising. When these monsters attack a high school, Takashi Kimuro must kill his best friend when he gets bitten and joins the walking dead.
In an effort to protect Rei Miyamoto, the girlfriend of the man he just executed, they escape the school’s death trap, only to be met by a society that has already been destroyed.
Together with other students, Takashi and Rei embark on a quest to locate their family members and learn what caused the pandemic.
They are joined by Saeko Busujima, the beautiful president of the Kendo Club; Kouta Hirano, a notorious gun nut; Saya Takagi, the daughter of a powerful politician; and Shizuka Marikawa, their hot school nurse. However, can their combined strength defeat the undead apocalypse?
The plot tickets aren’t distributed at random by distant authority figures. Nothing is in the hands of fate. Characters must decide what to do when to do it, and how to do it. Everything.
This focuses on their transformation from “civilized” humans to survivalists. The fan service is also well-executed in the sense that it feels natural and appropriate given their circumstances. The plot isn’t particularly original, but it’s extremely entertaining and enjoyable.
Not only do the female characters’ designs have a lot of variety, but so do the male characters. The characters begin as obvious stereotypes, but they grow and change as the world around them does, and it’s genuinely satisfying to see.
41. Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai
Founded with the development of “Machinart,” machine magic, The Walpurgis Royal Academy of Machinart aimed to teach puppeteers how to control automatons, mechanical dolls with life and intelligence, as militaries across the globe have started incorporating Machinart into their armies.
Having failed the academy’s entrance exams, Raishin Akabane and his humanoid automaton Yaya must face one of the top one hundred students to gain entry to the Evening Party, a competition between puppeteers using automatons. The last one standing is titled “Wiseman” and granted access to powerful forbidden arts.
In response, Raishin challenges Charlotte Belew to a duel with her automaton Sigmund. However, before the duel begins, Sigmund is attacked by other students. Raishin cancels the duel after saving his opponents from their assaulters but is forced to find a new way to gain access to the Party. As a result of his tragic past, Raishin fights alongside Yaya to rise to the top and claim the title of Wiseman.
The story is quite enticing, and it always leaves you wondering what would happen next, and it always stays true to the main character’s goal, Raishin, fighting alongside his partner, Yaya. Each episode had some sort of meaning or foreshadowing that leads to future episodes.
Mainly all of the characters are very well developed, and each character has their own unique sense to display who they really are. We get a lot of backstory on all of the main characters.
42. Gleipnir
Shuuichi Kagaya is your average high school student, but he can sometimes transform into a monster. Despite not knowing how he got his abilities, he would rather no one know about them. One night, he finds a building on fire and a girl trapped inside. In order to save her, he transforms and carries her to safety but drops his phone in the process.
The next day, Claire Aoki, the girl he saved, finds him and confronts him about his monster identity. After Shuuichi denies her claims, she even pushes him off the school roof in order to prove her theory.
He transforms in an attempt to save himself, and Claire snaps a picture to compel him to reveal everything he knows about monsters, which isn’t much.
It turns out Claire also has a secret: she has been searching for her sister, who has also turned into a monster. In order to find her, she enlists Shuuichi’s assistance, but they aren’t the only ones looking for answers.
From start to finish, Gleipnir is a wild ride. Though it doesn’t have a super deep message, it’s good edgy fun with some heartfelt moments occasionally. In the end, the premise is unique enough and the mystery thrilling enough to keep you hooked.
Even though the cast of characters is not super unique, they are well-rounded and likable enough to enjoy.
43. MM!
High school student Taro Sado has a big secret-he’s a masochist! Taro’s cross-dressing best friend Tatsukichi Hayama encourages him to ask for help from the Second Voluntary Club, and he ends up joining the club after they promise to “fix” him.
It turns out, however, that the club’s members all have some serious problems. The club leader Mio Isurugi is a self-proclaimed god who is afraid of cats, Arashiko Yuuno is terrified of men, while the club advisor Michiru Onigawara is a sadist who has fun making people cosplay.
Along with other wacky characters such as Yumi Mamiya, a talented masseuse as well as Yuuno’s best friend, and the invention club president Noa Hiiragi, they all learn acceptance and kindness.
While many of the characters are clichés, this actually makes the show that much funnier as it’s great to see your stereotypical girls thrown into the world of S and M. Obviously, the show’s focus is the strange relationship between Tarou and Mio, but there are also some interesting side characters.
Considering this anime is mostly a comedy, there are quite a few jokes in it. Most of the comedy is directed at Taro as he is violently beaten by women, mostly Mio, which does little to resolve his problem. The humor is great, the characters are interesting, and overall it’s fun to watch.
44. Strike the Blood
After a fateful encounter with a vampire, Kojou Akatsuki’s days as an ordinary high school student in the Demon District of Itogami Island are ended abruptly.
As soon as it is discovered that he is the fourth primogenitor, an immensely powerful vampire whom most consider to be a legend, he becomes the center of attention. In response to Kojou’s destructive abilities, the Lion King Organization sends in an apprentice sword-shaman named Yukina Himeragi to monitor Kojou and, if necessary, kill the boy deemed the world’s most powerful vampire.
Together, they form a strange alliance as Kojou grapples with his abilities, and they both try to protect the city from various chaotic threats.
It’s not just about the lead male who happens to be a vampire; the whole cast plays a part. While the storyline isn’t the most original, it flows smoothly. The actual plot of this anime is interesting and is a new take on something that has been done many times before.
Even though it gets sidetracked at times due to romance, each episode is captivating and are entertaining! The development of the characters is very well done, and the relationships between those characters are well defined! The characters have distinctive personalities, and they’re all special in their own way.
The series has a ton of action but has its fair share of fan service, as most series do. This series is definitely one of the best in this genre.
45. Tsugumomo
According to Japanese folklore, a “tsukumogami” is an object that has gained a soul, becoming aware and alive. The tsukumogami have been divided into two types: the mature “tsugumomo,” which have grown through years of harmonious living with their owners, and the aberrant “amasogi,” which are premature spirits that are only born to fulfill destructive wishes.
Since his mother’s death, Kazuya Kagami has never been without her obi. He always keeps it safe with him, whether it’s at home or at school. He nearly loses his life one day when he is attacked by a wig amasogi. As all seems lost, his obi, transforming into a beautiful girl, defends him. She introduces herself as Kiriha, the tsugumomo that belonged to Kazuya’s mother.
Kazuya enters a world with gods and tsukumogami when Kiriha arrives, a world he has never experienced before.
This series is based on a popular belief that if you treat an object with care over a period of time, it will eventually gain sentience.
Aside from having a unique story and setting, this series also has many interesting enemy types that relate to its theme.
In this series, the enemies tend to revolve around the target’s inner desires, which also affects how powerful they can be. Each episode starts with a short introduction of the type of enemy that will be featured in that episode. These are informative and useful to the viewer.
46. Shuffle!
Since the door between these worlds opened, Gods and Demons coexist with Humans. Tsuchimi Rin attends Verbena Academy with his childhood friend Kaede and lives a normal teenage life.
Both the King of Gods and the King of Demons, along with their families, move in to be Rin’s neighbors one day. Sia, the daughter of the Gods, and Nerine, the daughter of the demons, both fell deeply in love with Rin after meeting him in the past.
Rin has much on his plate with his playful friendship with the upperclassmen Asa, as well as his encounter with the quiet but cute Primula. Each of these girls has their own special affections for Rin.
All of the characters are engaging and enjoyable to watch, and even the guys have something unique about them. It’s true that the setup for the girls is pretty cliche, but they all bring something special to the story. What’s more amazing is that the male protagonist also brings a great deal to the story. Each character is unique. There are ups and downs for them all.
Overall, this anime is the epitome of what a harem romance anime should be. The best thing about the show would have to be the characters because they are all developed incredibly well, and their actions aren’t always questionable, seeing how it suits their personality. And because the male protagonist isn’t a worthless guy, there are numerous romances and a number of possibilities.
47. Soukou no Strain
Ralph, Sara Werec’s elder brother, was sent to the frontlines of an interstellar conflict 130 light-years away, and Sara vowed one day to reunite with him as a comrade. Five years later, Sara is enrolled in Grapera Space Armed Soldier Academy, studying to become a Reasoner, a pilot of an advanced weapon system called a “Strain.”
In the face of an enemy attack on the academy, Sara finds herself in battle with a powerful Strain. The pilot reveals himself as Ralph after incapacitating her.
When he destroys the school and kills all the other students, he disappears, leaving Sara to question everything she has ever known. Sara is reentering training under a new name, now determined to confront her brother and gain understanding of his actions in Soukou no Strain.
The story of Soukou no Strain is filled with unexpected twists and turns that are perfectly delivered. Unlike other series that execute decent plots with cliche casts, this anime makes an impact due to its strong and diverse characters. Ralph, Sara, and several others make up the core. As the series progresses, the development of this group is both pleasant and horrifying but always interesting to watch.
Supporting characters shine as well; though superficially stereotypical, they are put in trying situations that reveal their true feelings and thoughts. Ultimately, this story is about the characters, and therein lies its power. This piece of science fiction is well thought out. The science concepts used are non-trivial yet credible.
48. Medaka Box
In the truest sense of the word, Medaka Kurokami is perfect. Medaka is beautiful, intelligent, athletic, and her dream is to make others happy. So it is not surprising that she wins the election with 98% of the votes in the election for Student Council President of the prestigious Hakoniwa Academy.
“Medaka Box,” a suggestion box allowing students to submit any kind of assistance request, is the first thing the boisterous new president does. The cynical Zenkichi Hitoyoshi, her childhood friend, forced to help, helps Medaka fulfill these requests at a ridiculous rate.
Whenever a task is completed, she leaves flowers in the student council room, with the aim of filling the whole school. However, as the two begin to uncover a vicious plan centered on the academy and even Medaka herself, they will realize that helping others may be a lot harder than they anticipated!
Despite all of the different elements, the anime is fantastic because the story is never confusing, and the pacing is very easy to follow. There are no dull moments because the story manages to include some comedy and ecchi while focusing on the other characters. Even with all of its competing genres, this has such a great balance.
More or less character-centered, the story engages the spectator with its humorous moments and crazy situations. A number of student requests leads the student council into wacky escapades while the audience uncovers layers upon layers of what is presumably Medaka’s psychological profile.
The anime is fantastic. The plot is well-paced, the characters are vibrant, and Medaka is a fascinating character.
49. Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san
Yuragi-sou, formerly a hot springs inn, is now a boarding house with extraordinarily low rent. Supposedly, it is haunted by a vile ghost which scares away all potential tenants. Fuyuzora Kogarashi, a homeless psychic in need of a place to stay and a way to exorcise ghosts, found the perfect refuge there.
When Kogarashi prepares for a battle against the ghost, he finds out that it is not as malicious as the rumors claim. In reality, it is the ghost of a beautiful, silver-haired girl whose only memory of life before death is her name: Yuuna. In addition to seeing Yuuna, the other tenants of Yuragi-sou have their own supernatural abilities.
Among the chaos caused by his quirky neighbors, Kogarashi attempts to discover Yuuna’s regret, lest she becomes an evil spirit condemned to spend her afterlife in hell.
In general, Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san is a fairly standard harem series with a guy who lives with a series of girls due to different circumstances, albeit with a slightly unusual twist that most of the girls are involved with supernatural forces, which are related to Japanese mythology.
Overall, they are a really solid bunch of characters. Aside from being an overtly nice guy that easily gets flustered around girls, the protagonist is really competent in quite a few things and very capable of handling any issues that may arise.
50. Keijo!!!!!!!!
Japan’s latest competitive sport, Keijo, has a very simple set of rules: female competitors must stand in a circular pool on circular platforms called “lands” with the goal of kicking off their opponents with only their breasts and butts.
The sport has millions of viewers despite this bizarre premise and boasts a generous prize pool. The challenge attracts many aspiring athletes hoping to become the next national champion.
Nozomi Kaminashi, 17, enters the world of Keijo after graduating from high school and hoping to make a fortune for her family. As a gifted gymnast, Nozomi quickly makes a name for herself as an intense competitor after winning her debut contest.
A Keijo player’s path to stardom is filled with intense competition that will challenge her not only physically but also mentally. As she grows as a player, Nozomi meets new friends and rivals.
This anime is slow and steady, which allows you to learn more about the environment, which is mostly focusing on the MC, and her dream is to be the best Keijo player and win the prize so that her family will be in a better state.
Easily enjoyable and lovable characters that are easy to understand, and each have their own traits, which makes them cute or badass in a way that makes the character progression smooth.
Keijo is a genuinely fun, unique, and most importantly, an “asstounding” title.
