Fantasy Horror The Spine Of Night Drops Trailer, Will Be Releasing On SXSW Next Week.

A brand-new teaser is out for The Spine of the Night, an animated fantasy film, and it will be coming this Thursday, on March 18th to SXSW Midnighters section. The film will premiere at 8:00 PM CST and is written and directed by Morgan Galen King (Exordium, 2013) and Philip Gelatt (The Bleeding House, 2011).

    What the film is about:

The film’s story begins years ago when a prince robs a sacred plant in order to attain forbidden knowledge. This inability to resist temptation starts something horrible for all of mankind, as suffering is unleashed on them all. With his increasing powers, it becomes harder to defeat the prince and stop him, but this time, he faces off against a couple of star-crossed lovers, a tomb-raider, winged assassins, a maniacal necromancer and an undying guardian.

Why people are looking forward to its release:

The film has been inspired by the works of animator Ralph Bakshi and Frank Frazetta and captures the suffering of mankind as the age of ruin is unleashed upon them because of the selfish deeds of a greedy prince. The setting is a magical land that may look beautiful but has ultra-violent forces lurking within and it is up to heroes from different timelines to find a way to restore peace.

Though animated, the trailer does not lack any cinematic excellence. From grand frames of battalions lined up to bloodshed, the film will not be falling short of entertainment in any way and will keep you on the edge of your seats.
