She Came from the Woods, the indie horror thriller from Mainframe Pictures, has just concluded filming. The film, directed by Erik Bloomquist, is based on a 2017 short film of the same name.
Cara Buono, William Sadler, Clare Foley, Spencer List, Michael Park, and Tyler Elliot Burke star in She Came from the Woods. Cory Asinofsky, Cody Boccia, Adam Weppler, Sienna Hubert-Ross, Emily Keefe, Ehad Berisha, Dan Leahy, Giselle Torres, Erik Bloomquist, Madeleine Dauer, Juliana Davies, Declan Foley, Tess Santarsieroand newcomer Coulter Ibanez are among the ensemble cast members.
Bloomquist and Carson Bloomquist collaborated on the screenplay. The brothers co-founded the production company Mainframe Pictures, which is working on the project. Along with Cara Buono, William Sadler, and Adam Weppler, the two produce the movie for Mainframe.

The plotline follows the last day of the summer of 1987 when the staff of an overnight camp conjures up a long-forgotten legend.
After sowing the seeds of horror with their short film, the Bloomquist Brothers are finally bringing the entire story to life. They described She Came From the Woods as a coming-of-age horror film anchored in themes of familial history, the dangers of groupthink, and the motivations behind the stories we tell and the secrets we maintain.
If it is anything like the 2017 short film, then we are definitely in for a horrifying treat. The short film has an IMDB rating of 7.7 which is extremely high for a horror feature so we can only expect good things from the Bloomquist Brothers. The 12 minute short was enough to send chills down our spines and scare us from uttering the name of something creepy for a while. The movie hinged on the manifestation of something which was deemed to be an urban legend and the scares followed suit.
