First-Look Images From ‘Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It’

Along with many fantastic films Warner Bros. is bringing to fans this year, they have something exciting in store for those of horror. ‘Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It’ is the third film in the Conjuring series, but it is the eighth installment in the franchise and is set to release in June this year. The Conjuring universe is quite intricate and comprises some films that have done exceptionally well on the box office while others, do not. It started with ‘The Conjuring’ (2013), followed by ‘Anabelle’ (2014), ‘The Conjuring 2’ (2016), ‘Anabelle Creation’ (2017), ‘The Nun’ (2018), ‘The Curse of La Llorona’ (2019) and ‘Anabelle Comes Home’ (2019). For those unknown to this universe, it might seem like a lot, but fans who have followed every film release know that their release timeline is not in the chronological order of the years in which the films are set.

What we know about the film so far

HBO Max has revealed some first look images to give those waiting, a little bit of a tease. In four of these images Vera Farmiga, plays Lorraine Warren and Patrick Wilson, who plays Ed Warren with quite a solemn look on their faces. Not much can be known about the film from these pictures. Still, the film is said to be based on another one of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s famous cases where a murder suspect claims his lack of guilt and involvement in the murder and uses demonic possession as an alibi. This film’s timeline indicates that it is set in 1981, placing it right after ‘Conjuring 2’.
