    First Teaser Trailer Revealed For Zack Snyder’s ‘Army Of The Dead’

    Last Sunday, Snyder had released the poster for his upcoming film via Twitter and revealed that May 21st would be the release date for his zombie heist film. The first teaser trailer for the action-horror is finally out. The film is set to make its debut on Netflix. Army of the Dead is his first post-DC project. The plot revolves around a casino vault heist that takes place during a zombie apocalypse. The film stars Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy), Ella Purnell (Churchill), Ana de la Reguera (Narcos), Raul Castillo (Amexicano), Garret Dillahunt (Raising Hope), Hiroyuki Sanada (The Wolverine), Matthias Schweighofer (What A Man), Omari Hardwick (Spell), and TigNotaro (Tig). The film will run for 2 hours 33 minutes.

    Teaser Breakdown

    The teaser is unveiled with a shot of what looks like a dystopian Las Vegas. The consecutive shots show a casino, a helicopter riding into the sunset, and the cast standing close-by, ready for action. Dave Bautista is seen firing a gun while the rest of the cast holds a steady stance. We see more shots of the casino and havoc being wreaked upon the city. The cast is seen heading towards a room full of money while a statue in the city is lit on fire. The last shot shows the helicopter plummeting downwards.

    What made the filmmaking process special for Snyder?

    Snyder described Army of the Dead as a power-packed entertaining zombie heist film. He speaks about making pure zombie mayhem mingle with the emotions, warmth, and depth of the characters which they portray in their journey. Snyder has stated this film to be one of his most extraordinary filmmaking experiences. He spoke about how he got further away from the camera with more significant projects, but as someone who initially worked as a director-cameraman, Army of the Dead allowed him to stand behind the lens once again.
