The trailer opens with the voice of a female narrator (Sonya Blade) who speaks about a mission in Brazil pertaining to the capture of a wanted fugitive. The shot cuts to Sub-Zero fighting a man and freezing his arms and weapon.
Scorpion is assigned with the task of taking him down and is seen training. References are made to a great tournament of champions, which makes the audience believe that Scorpion and Sub-Zero will battle each other during this event. Fans are then introduced to the lethal Dragon marking.
