Among the many fantastic movies Warner Bros. has in store for fans in 2021 is the Timothée Chalamet starrer Dune. The film is directed by Denis Villeneuve and was initially set to release in December of 2020. This science fiction film is adapted from Frank Herbert’s novel of the same name and tells the story of Duke Leto Atreides, who-in his greed for “the spice”, which provides superhuman thought, extends life and allows one to travel faster than the speed of light-leads his family and himself into the dangerous desert land known as Dune.
The film has undergone a lot of date changes
Dune has recently announced that Dune will hit international theatres a full two weeks earlier than it will be released in the US. As told by Box Office France through their official Twitter handle, Warner Bros. films Those Who Wish Me Dead, as well as Dune, will now be hitting the theatres earlier than the dates announced. While the former will be released on the 15th of May, the latter will be released on the 15th of September instead of the 29th, which is when it will release in the US. Speculation also says that unlike every other Warner Bros. film this year, Dune may not be available to stream on HBO Max on the day of theatrical release. This is because, given the beautiful cinematic experience the film can do way better when viewed on a large scale.
