The first female-led En Letra de Otro music program to cover personal favorites leads us to Condoto, Colombia, and its beautiful surroundings. In between the magnificent and elaborate musical acts, Goyo discusses her background and influences, including the origin of her nickname, her father’s love of salsa, her rise to international fame with the band ChocQuibTown, and her passion with Shakira.

Goyo performs her new solo single “Na Na Na” in her solo episode of HBO’s En Letra De Otro, a snippet of which can be heard in the trailer. To Rolling Stone, Goyo characterizes the song as “powerful and strong… “It’s a song that makes you feel good.”

Goyo will also play previously penned songs from her hometown of Condoto, Colombia, in addition to “Na Na Na.”
If the film is any indication, viewers can expect a larger-than-life spectacle, with sets that include Goyo half-submerged in a river in Conodoto, a neon-lit rave, and a 1920s speakeasy with the singer as the star songstress.
Furthermore, Goyo expresses her gratitude for being in this position in the trailer, saying, “Being able to retell the tale of Goyo allows me to make a new version of the songs that have been a part of the soundtrack of my life.”
The program will undoubtedly be a celebration of Goyo as a person, from her deep Colombian roots to her unique ability to hold an audience’s attention.
