    Grace Season 2 (2022)

“Grace: Season 2” is not based on a true story. Roy Grace is back – in the second season of ITV’s Grace, based on blockbuster author Peter James’ award-winning Roy Grace books, John Simm reprises his role as the troubled detective. The first movie in the series was a box office hit, and the sequel was recently expanded into four feature films.

The finding of a young woman’s body in Brighton reminds Roy Grace of his own lost wife and her mysterious death. When Zack Bryce finds a USB stick abandoned on a train somewhere else in the city, he just attempts to do the right thing and return it to its owner. However, he becomes the lone witness to the same horrible murder as a result of his attempted act of charity. The murderers must act after learning that Zack has made a statement to Grace’s squad. It’s not simply retribution when they arrange the murder of the Bryce family; it’s also entertainment.

Not Dead Enough follows Grace and Branson as they investigate the murder of Katya Bishop, a rich socialite and local charity supporter, and the wife of a renowned Brighton industrialist, played by ex-doctor Who actor Arthur Darvill, who becomes the investigation’s major suspect. Grace explores deeper under the respectable exterior of the Bishops’ lives and realizes that all is not as it appears. However, doing so puts him in great risk without his knowledge.

Grace conducts the investigation into the finding of a woman’s skeletal remains in an ancient storm drain, thought to be the widow of a failed Brighton conman who perished in an aircraft crash some years earlier. Grace must follow the man’s actions in the years leading up to his death, which leads him down a shady path into the realm of Brighton’s oldest criminal families, but Roy is pursuing ghosts in more ways than one.

DS Roy Grace is played by John Simm (Doctor Who, Life On Mars), while DS Glenn Branson is played by Richie Campbell (Liar, Stephen), and Grace’s supervisor, Assistant Chief Constable Alison Vosper, is played by Rakie Ayola (The Pact, Holby City).

Laura Elphinstone (Game of Thrones, Line of Duty) reprises her role as Detective Sergeant Bella Moy, while Crag Parkinson (Line of Duty) joins the cast as the outspoken DS Norman Potting.

In the second episode of the series, Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who and Broadchurch) portrays a wealthy Brighton-based entrepreneur, while Zoe Tapper (Liar, Nightflyers) joins the cast as Cleo Morey, a mortuary technician who takes a liking to Grace.

The new season premieres on ITV on Sunday, April 24th at 8 p.m. Grace season 2 will be available on BritBox in the United States.
