The Deep Ones according to Lovecraft’s writing, are an ocean-dwelling race with a penchant for mating with humans, as their name suggests. They made a deal with the residents of Innsmouth to keep the fish in their region plentiful. They also appear to have a stockpile of gold relics with strange designs. Father Dagon and his consort Mother Hydra are revered by the Deep Ones.
Lovecraft is regarded as one of the most important authors of supernatural horror fiction in the twentieth century. “The Call of Cthulhu,” “At the Mountains of Madness,” “The Shadow Over Innsmouth,” “The Rats in the Walls,” and “The Shadow Out of Time” are among his most famous stories. His works are the foundation of the Cthulhu Mythos, which has spawned a slew of parodies in a variety of mediums based on Lovecraft’s characters, settings, and themes, forming the Lovecraftian horror subgenre.
An exclusive clip from the upcoming movie shows a pregnant woman on a beach and three people who are likely cult members in some sort of a delirious trance followed by the appearance of tentacles.
