Hulu has resolved the puzzle box, getting the approaching Hellraiser reimagining from Spyglass Media.Declared last spring, David Brucknerwill get his carnival hit The Night House release this August through Searchlight. He will take upon the reoccurrence of the Cenobites from a script that reteams him with Night House‘s Luke Piotrowski and Ben Collins.Bruckner helmed Netflix’s The Ritual as well as the horror compilations Southbound and V/H/. Collins & Piotrowski were also in arrears in V/H/S spinoff, SiREN, as well as the remarkable coming-of-age actioner Super Dark Times.
About the original Hellraiser
Clive Barker has written and directed the original Hellraiser. It was a reworking of his novella, The Hellbound Heart. The 1987 indie presented spectators to a puzzle box that unbolts a doorway to a terrible world and unchecks Cenobites, maimed beings devoted to agony and led by one designated Pinhead.

About the recent film
A Hellraiser series is also in the workings at HBO Max. David Gordon Green is directing the pilot and some more preliminary episodes and Michael Dougherty is writing the story alongside Mark Verheiden. Clive Barker will serve as the executive producer. It’s uncertain how elaborate Barker will be in the feature re-creation.
