The news was first announced in the eighth issue of Weekly Shonen Jump in January 2021. The anime adaptation of the popular horror-adventure shounen manga Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku has an official trailer that, despite the lack of dialogue, exhibits MAPPA’s incredible animation style.
On the second day of last year’s Jump Festa, on December 18, the new trailer, as well as a new visual teaser and the anime’s cast, were revealed. The Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku anime is based on mangaka Yuuji Kaku’s manga, whose most recent work, Ayashimon, was also highlighted in passing by the event’s panel.
On January 25, after being serialized for three years, Jigokuraku was finalized with Chapter 127, and its thirteenth and final volume was launched on April 30.
