Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul

“Honk for Jesus” is based on their 2018 short film of the same name. “Save Your Soul” follows pastor Lee-Curtis Childs (Brown) and his first wife Trinitie (Hall) as they try to rebuild their flock after a scandal virtually shuts down their Atlanta megachurch, which had a capacity of roughly 26,000 people.

The couple hires a documentary crew to follow their redemption journey, but the path to redemption isn’t easy, especially in the competitive world of corporatized and commodified Christianity. In the comedy, Nicole Beharie and Conphidance play competing church leaders chasing after the Childs.

The film will be released on Peacock on the same day that it is released in theaters, however, no precise date has been revealed.

Peele, the Oscar-winning filmmaker of “Get Out,” has joined the picture as an executive producer through his firm MonkeyPaw Productions, following its Sundance sale.

Ejime Productions, the Ebo sisters’ firm, also produced the film. 59 percent Productions’ Daniel Kaluuya and Amandla Crichlow; Pinky Promise’s Jessamine Burgum; Matthew Cooper; Rowan Riley; Kara Durrett; Hall’s RH Negative Entertainment; and Brown’s Indian Meadows are among the other producers. Executive producers were Will Greenfield, Carolina Groppa, and Lucy Keith.

Following “Honk for Jesus,” the Ebo twins are now working on Donald Glover’s upcoming Amazon series “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” as well as Julie Plec and Greg Berlanti’s CW comedy “The Girls on the Bus.”

UTA Independent Film Group, CAA Media Finance, and ICM Partners negotiated the contract for the film. The Ebo Twins and Pinky Promise are handled by UTA, while Monkeypaw is represented by CAA and Jared Levine.
