Released in 2017, Mayhem is an action horror film directed by Joe Lynch. The film centres around David, who gets fired from his job due to unfair reasons. Soon he learns that the law firm he used to work at is now infected with a deadly and unknown virus, causing the people there to act out in bizarre ways. In order to help out, he teams up with another employee of the firm, who also has unresolved issues with office management and together they fight their way to the top executives in order to settle scores.
What will the fans get
On February 19th of this year, Mayhem will be releasing, via WittleEntertainment.com, on limited edition VHS that will be restricted to only a hundred in number. The black clamshell case of the VHS will also include some exclusive artwork by Chris Barnes, a poster designer. Twenty-five of the hundred copies will be on red VHS tapes and all hundred will have introductions by cinematographers Steve Gainer (Mysterious Skin, Punisher: War Zone) and Steven Brand (The Scorpion King, The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer), a letter from director Lynch himself and a special featurette titled Creating Mayhem. Not only this, but the film has been cropped its original frame and it has been licensed by RLJE films as well as approved by Lynch.
Mayhem stars Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead), Samara Weaving (The Babysitter), Dallas Roberts (Dallas Buyers Club), Caroline Chikezie (Æon Flux) as well as Kerry Fox (Shallow Grave).
