Indonesian Horror Director Timo Tjahjanto Now Set To Direct The Brand-New Train To Busan Remake

The Korean blockbuster Train to Busan was released in 2016 and it has been considered one of the best zombie films of recent times. This action-horror was directed by Yeon Sang-ho and is one of the few international films that is recognised very well. The story revolves around a father and daughter who decide to take a train to Busan on the latter’s birthday. They soon realise that the journey is about to turn into a fight for survival as an infected victim happens to get on the train, leading to a chain of attacks by zombies on the humans. Soon, a remake of the film will be getting ready to hit the screens, and the screenplay will be written by none other than Gary Dauberman known for The Nun.

Details we have regarding the crew trying to make this film happen

Owned by New Line Productions and produced by James Wan, Michael Clear, Nicolas Atlan, Terry Kalagian, this film will be directed by Timo Tjahjanto. Although this remake was announced back in 2021, the choice of director is the newest development. Tjahjanto has previously worked on films like May the Devil Take You, The Night Comes for Us, Macabre, V/H/S/2, The ABCs of Death, Takut: Faces of Fear and many more, making him the up-and-coming filmmaker that fans of horror should certainly look out for. Many fans are not happy with the choice of filming a remake of the classic film as they believe that since no one will be able to top the 2016 zombie-horror, they may end up scarring its legacy.
