Jeepers Creepers: Reborn finally gets a fall release this 2021, with Screen Media acquiring the worldwide distribution rights for the film. It is the fourth installment of the Jeepers Creepers franchise, and it will be living up to its title “Reborn” by starting afresh. Following Victor Salva’s controversy, the helm of direction has been passed on to TimoVuorensola (Iron Sky). The Reborn trilogy will differ from Salva’s trilogy. The cast for the film is still a mystery.
The plot of the film
The film unravels with an event being held in Louisiana called the Horror Hound festival. It is attended by plenty of geeks, nerds, horror-fans, and freaks from distant places. Chase is a horror fanboy who is attending this festival, and he has forced his girlfriend Laine to come along with him. However, as the festival’s day gets nearer, Laine experiences premonitions and disturbing imageries revolving around the town’s past. One such unexplained premonition is that of an urban myth called The Creeper. As the festival arrives closer, Laine’s discomfort piles and she believes she is in the center of something unearthly.
The controversy surrounding Victor Salva
The directorial helm was passed on to Vuorensola due to the criminal controversy surrounding the previous director Victor Salva who was convicted for indulging in child pornography and engaging in lewd acts with a minor. The controversy had taken place in 1988 and was unearthed not very long ago by the people on the internet. The franchise, which previously enjoyed massive numbers in the box office, rivaling that of the Paranormal Activity and Saw series, faced a major setback in popularity and acclaim when Jeepers Creepers 3 got stalled and delayed for 14 years. It only got a two-night theatrical run and aired on Syfy following the controversy.

Jeepers Creepers: Reborn is written by screenwriter Sean Michael Argo (Iconoclast) and is set to release in the fall of 2021. The creative team has now been revamped for the film to be reborn.
