Disney’s upcoming Jungle Cruise, a movie version of the famous Disney Parks boat trip has looked like a common action movie. The second trailer doesn’t change the needle away from that emotion, but it does inoculate the story with a bit of horror.
Jungle Cruise looks like the latest Pirates of the Caribbean sequel
If anybody interchanges Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson with Johnny Depp’s Captain Sparrow, Jungle Cruise would look like the newest Pirates of the Caribbean sequel. It marked the movie with a paranormal component and a villain that steers this boat right into the body and eco-horror terrain.
It shouldn’t be all that astonishing watching horror veteran Jaume Collet-Serra directs the film. It will release simultaneously on Disney+ and in theatres with Premier Access on Friday, 30thJuly.
