The five-minute Jurassic World: Dominion Special Extended Preview, which fans will be able to see on full-screen, comprises a prologue to the film’s narrative and is set 65 million years ago, during the Cretaceous period, when dinosaurs inhabited the entire Earth. The spectacular, action-packed images, which feature Oscar winner Michael Giacchino’s renowned score, explain what Earth was like before people and tell the origin narrative of how dinosaur DNA first came to be carried by a fabled insect. Seven new dinosaur species, designed by the famed Industrial Light & Magic, are featured in the trailer, which have never been seen in a Jurassic film before.
But the preview doesn’t stop there; it also has some classic Jurassic shocks, such as dinosaurs roaming an Earth that isn’t entirely theirs.
The plot is still a mystery, but Fallen Kingdom teased a sequel in which the dinosaurs are now on the mainland… Humans are becoming extinct, and they are at the bottom of the food chain.
