Mark Hamill plays Skeletor, Lena Headey plays Evil-Lyn, Chris Wood plays Prince Adam / He-Man, and Sarah Michelle Gellar plays Teela in the highly anticipated “Masters of the Universe: Revelation.” The behind-the-scenes team is unrivalled as well, with Frederic Soulie, Adam Bonnett, Christopher Keenan, and Rob David who serve as showrunners and executive producers along with Kevin Smith. The series is a direct sequel to the original 1980s series “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe,” and is called “Masters of the Universe: Revelation.”

The new teaser which is set to Bonnie Tyler’s “I Need a Hero,” was published as part of Netflix’s “Geeked Week” preview. As we have learned, a 25-minute after show “Revelations: The Masters of the Universe Revelation Aftershow,” hosted by Smith, will accompany the first set of five episodes. The series will premiere on Friday, July 23.
As per as what has been seen in the trailer, the sequel begins right from where the original series had ended. It is set in a world where Eternia is shattered and the Guardians of Grayskull are all scattered after a cataclysmic showdown between He-Man and Skeletor. In this situation, Teela must reassemble the separated band of heroes and discover the mystery of the missing Sword of Power in a race against time to restore Eternia and prevent the end of the cosmos after decades of secrets tore them apart.
It is one of the most looked forward to animated series this year and it could potentially be the perfect stage for the final battle between He-Man and Skeletor.
Check out the trailer and make sure to tune in on the 23rd of July!
