‘Elevator Game’ a.k.a ‘Elevator to Another Dimension’ is a Korean horror game that has by now become like an urban legend. The game is a ritual that follows the player on an elevator through ten floors of a building. It has gained quite a bit of traction, and people, mostly on Reddit, have been going gaga over it, with many claiming that it is too dangerous to try. Michael Goi, the director of photography for American Horror Story, has been brought on board to direct a film based on the ‘Elevator Game’. Running for nine seasons now, AHS is one of the most ground-breaking horror shows in history. Although each season has a separate plot, somewhere down the line, they faintly connect. Known for its aesthetic qualities, AHS takes traditional horror films such as witchcraft, asylum horror, gore, and goth and makes it extremely scary while maintaining a gripping storyline.
Strict rules that the player must follow through
The ‘Elevator Game’ has a few rules, and just learning about them is enough to give someone the creeps, and it is believed that if they are followed through correctly, the players can encounter a woman and how they go about after that point determines their fate in the game. It requires one to get on the elevator alone and proceed to the fourth floor. Once they reach, they must not get off and go on to the second floor. They must repeat the same thing to the sixth, second, tenth, and then the fifth floor. It is here that the real game is supposed to start as a woman who may appear as a stranger or someone the player knows will be entering the elevator and then make attempts to talk to them, antagonise them or get their attention in any way. However, at no cost should the player even acknowledge the woman’s presence by looking at her, talking to her or gesturing at her. In fact, many say that if the elevator has reflective surfaces, it is best to stare down at the floor to avoid catching a glimpse of her.

The ascend to the other world
The player is to press the button to the first floor after the fifth, and here they can either get out or leave, making sure not to look back at the woman, or they may find themselves in the “other world.” The player knows this should not be complicated as it will probably not have any people or any electricity. If the player wishes not to explore, they can stay on the elevator until the doors close and go back to the first floor again, but should they choose to explore, they must get off and ignore any attempts of the woman to stop them. Once out, they may get to see this “other world” for which there has not been many first-hand accounts to confirm any details. To return, they must use the same elevator that they did before and keep pressing all the right buttons till they are finally back on the first floor and check for any details that may be off-putting before getting out and going home. The feature film in the works for this spooky game will be about a boy named Dale who tries his luck at the ‘Elevator Game.’
