In a brand-new Disney+ special, all of your favourite Star Wars characters are taking a summer vacation. Another holiday special that examines what happens when people from a galaxy far, far away need a break to enjoy the sun, beaches, and everything about summer was unveiled during Friday’s Star Wars Celebration session. On Twitter, a brand-new poster was also shown, hinting to a summer that would be “completely operational” and including popular characters like Darth Vader, Rey, Rose, Han Solo, Leia, and many more. On August 5, the special will only be available on Disney+.
Following the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, as was stated during the event, Lego Star Wars: Summer Vacation has Rose, Rey, Finn, Poe, and Chewbacca seeking to unwind in the summer heat following their crucial confrontation with Emperor Palpatine. The galaxy’s heroes are in desperate need of a vacation, but like with many family vacations, things don’t always go as planned. They discover information about the other Star Wars heroes, villains, and everyone in between who tried to take a vacation only for it all to explode up in their faces during their attempts at leisure. Consider LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales with a lighter, more jovial summertime spin that details the different vacations in Star Wars history.
The special will feature a huge cast of well-known characters from the franchise as well as some fresher faces. Wick Cooper and Valeria from LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures will make a triumphant comeback in the special, along with Vic Vankoh, a new character voiced by famed parody singer “Weird Al” Yankovik. According to the programme, Finn will be “front and centre” in the next special, which is also certain to feature some new musical pieces appropriate for the summer.
The panel also revealed the whole voice cast that would be appearing while talking about the upcoming special. LEGO One of the new projects revealed at the Star Wars Celebration, along with Andor, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, and the eagerly awaited Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order sequel, was Star Wars: Summer Vacation. Rey discovered the true meaning of Life Day in the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special, and Poe Dameron attempted to flee Castle Vader in Lego Star Wars: Terrifying Tales. The most recent adventure now appears to be a Finn-focused tale taking place after The Rise of Skywalker’s events.
For their end-of-summer vacation, Finn, Rose, Rey, and Poe join the Galactic Starcruiser, the Halcyon, with the intention of having the journey of a lifetime. Although it’s unclear what what goes wrong, Finn finds himself alone himself in the pub, albeit only for a short while. The ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi appears and welcomes him, telling him to brighten up and telling him about his own trip. one where Jabba the Hutt is dancing.
This programme, like Terrifying Tales, will include three stories inside stories as Anakin Skywalker and Leia Organa both tell Finn about their own holiday experiences. Ben Solo does appear in Leia’s narrative, finally having the chance to fly the Millennium Falcon, even if he might not be available to hang out with the crew of the Halcyon. Leia cautions him about losing a hand before he starts the car since it “happens in our family.”

In a hilarious twist, “Weird Al” Yankovik will also appear in the special as Vic Vankoh. Additionally, Yankovik is anticipated to provide brand-new music for the special in the shape of the tune “Scarif Beach Party.” Fans of a particular vintage may recall that Yankovik has already explored Star Wars through music. The Phantom Menace’s story is told in “The Saga Begins,” a spoof song by the same name that was published in 1999 to the tune of “American Pie.”
