An animated children’s television programme called Love Monster debuted on CBeebies on January 27, 2020. It is based on Rachel Bright’s works. The titular monster and his buddies’ misadventures are the main subject of the story. It premiered in the United States of America on December 18, 2020, on HBO Max as a Max Original, and subsequently on September 19, 2021, on Cartoon Network’s Cartoonito block.
George Takei, the voice of Star Trek, is relocating to Fluffytown to play a panda in a BBC animated children’s programme.
In the preschool series Love Monster, which is a collaboration between the British public broadcaster’s kids channel CBeebies, Boat Rocker Studios, and China’s UYoung, Takei, who played Sulu in the classic sci-fi series, will voice Elder Panda.
The Love Monster series by Rachel Bright is the inspiration for the 54-part series, which will premiere in January 2020. It chronicles the exploits of the hairy protagonist, Love Monster, as he negotiates the difficulties of being the lone monster in Fluffytown, a community of adorable young animals. Love Monster learns to listen to his heart instead of his slightly “over-thinky” head as he seeks out the appropriate course of action with a lot of assistance from his friends.
The eight-part series follows Michael, played by Patrick Harris, who believed his life was ideal until his husband of 17 years unexpectedly walks out the door. Michael had thought his life was perfect. Michael had to deal with the loss of the person he believed to be his soulmate and the discovery of a single gay man in his mid-forties in New York City all in the same night.
It comes from the team of Emily in Paris creator Star and seasoned Modern Family executive producer Richman, who are also co-executive producers alongside Jax Media’s Harris, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. The studio is called MTV Entertainment Studios, and Star has a general agreement with it.
Tony Reed for the BBC, Chapman Maddox for Boat Rocker, and James Chen Gu for UYoung are the executive producers of Love Monster. Karrot Animation and A Productions are producing the series’ animation in the UK, with pre-production screenplays, storyboards, and design coming from UYoung’s studio in China. With the exception of China and South East Asia, which will be handled by UYoung, Boat Rocker Studios will distribute the show and oversee global brand management and licencing.
