Where To Watch “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile (2022)”?

Sony Pictures has now unveiled a fresh batch of photographs that further explore the world of the singing reptile, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, after earlier today’s debut of the film’s trailer. The new images demonstrate how Shawn Mendes’ Lyle manages to get by with the aid of the Primm family and his flamboyant owner Hector P. Valenti, as most of the teaser focuses on Lyle and the challenges of a crocodile living in the big city (Javier Bardem). The musical live-action movie, based on Bernard Waber’s children’s books of the same name, will debut solely in cinemas on October 7.

The story of Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile centers on the Primm family, whose relocation to New York is hindered by Lyle, the melodic, caviar-loving, bath-taking lizard that resides in their attic. However, Lyle is a far more compassionate and clever crocodile than the typical one. He is a show reptile, as seen by the trailer, and he performed with his devoted owner Hector. Josh Primm (Winslow Fegley), the son of the Primms, too recognizes the beauty of Lyle’s presence, and the latter makes a friend in the crocodile by joining him on expeditions throughout the city. Even Josh’s mother (Constance Wu) begins to support Lyle and begins to draw inspiration from him for her artwork. Josh and Hector must work together to save Lyle since their neighbor Mr. Grumps (Brett Gelman) would stop at nothing to get rid of the innocent reptile.

The pictures show Lyle’s life in New York City and how he copes with so many unfamiliar situations. In the first frame, Lyle can be seen seated at a table with Josh, his mother, and Hector, who is a Florida Gators representative (the closest thing to a crocodile they could find on a shirt, apparently). Lyle seemed to fit in perfectly among the three despite being huge, green, and plainly not a human. Additionally, there is a picture of Valenti in full, glittering performance garb, perhaps getting ready to do a show with Lyle. The last two images are from the trailer and show Lyle posing for Josh’s mother and poking his head out the window of a cab like a dog. Her depiction of Lyle pays a good homage to the original novels by mimicking Waber’s straightforward aesthetic down to the watercolor appearance.

Scoot McNairy, who plays the patriarch of the Primm clan, is also a part of the impressive cast. The outstanding creative team behind Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is led by the directorial team of Will Speck and Josh Gordon and screenwriter Will Davies, who wrote the movie’s script. The songs for the movie were written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who are widely well-known for their work on La La Land and The Greatest Showman among many other projects. They collaborated with Mendes, Ari Afsar, Emily Gardner Xu Hall, Mark Sonnenblick, and Joriah Kwamé. Along with Dan Wilson, Kevin K. Vafi, and Robert J. Dohrmann, Pasek and Paul also executive produce; Speck and Gordon produce with Hutch Parker.

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is one of the few movies that will be released a little earlier than anticipated, in contrast to the majority of recent films that have had delays.
