Made In Abyss Season 2 – Everything We Know So Far

The hit fantasy anime “Made in Abyss” is getting a second season of exciting exploration of the lost civilization within its massive dark pit. Don’t let its cutesy animation style fool you; this series is more than it seems — it’s not one to watch with the whole family.

One young girl and a robot brave the dangers of The Abyss, a hole of unprecedented depth.

The town of Orth is unique because it is built around the edge of the massive Abyss, a wonder that has not yet been fully explored. The only people who venture too deeply into the cave never return, but those brave enough to travel its territory are dubbed “Cave Raiders” and are cherished as legends. There lives in this town a young girl named Riko, the child of one of the most famous Cave Raiders of all time who disappeared years ago.

When Riko encounters a mysterious robot named Reg, who seemingly appears out of the Abyss, in believing that this is a sign from her mother, Riko descends into the depths of the Abyss with Reg, prepared for whatever awaits.

The first season premiered on July 7, 2017, and was there till September 29 of the same year. There were a couple of compilation movies titled Made in Abyss Movie 1: Journey’s Dawn and Made in Abyss Movie 2: Wandering Twilight that were released on January 4, 2019, and January 20, 2019, respectively.

Also, a movie sequel to Season 1, titled Made in Abyss the Movie: Dawn of the Deep Soul, was released on January 17, 2020. Now, it’s getting a full-length second season as well as a recently announced video game.
