The second film in the new Mahogany franchise, “To Her, With Love,” will be seen to viewers on Hallmark Movies & Secrets as they journey to Ireland and Northern California in search of the solutions to their own personal mysteries and while a murder is probed. “Marry Me in Yosemite,” a brand-new, original film premiering Saturday, September 3 (8 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Channel, stars Tyler Harlow (“Secret Diary of a Cheerleader”) and Cindy Busby (“Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove,” “Warming Up to You,” “Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove”) as well as romance and adventure.
Under the name Zoe’s Best, Zoe (Busby) makes a business by publishing coffee table books with classic images and locations. Both her debut book, Zoe’s Best of Chicago, and her most recent, Zoe’s Best of the Midwest, were successful. Her publisher now wants to expand the brand’s reach across the country, beginning with Zoe’s Best of the West: Yosemite. When Zoe travels west and reaches Yosemite Valley, the park’s breathtaking magnificence leaves her speechless. Ex-rock climber and conservationist Jack Hawkins (Harlow), who occasionally serves as a guide but is typically “off the grid,” is introduced to Zoe by park ranger Sage Morningstar (Lexy McKowen, “Chasing Time”) after she has checked into her hotel.
After a rocky start, Jack decides to support Zoe in her quest for the ideal shot. Along the course, Jack and Zoe start to develop a love bond. While Zoe aids Jack in appreciating the creativity she has attained, Jack urges her to delve “within the images” to see what they show. Zoe wants to take “that one particular picture that would show I’m an artist, not just another photographer,” despite the fact that many of her pictures are exquisite. But will her quest for perfection wind up costing her more?
Timothy O. Johnson served as executive producer for the film Marry Me in Yosemite for Johnson Production Group. Joseph Wilka is a co-producer, Kate Lutgu is a line producer, and Robert Ballo and Robin Conly are the producers. From a script he wrote, Bruce Johnson is the film’s director.
The film centres on Zoe, a photojournalist renowned for her gorgeous photographs and shots of undeveloped landscapes. In addition to being a great photographer, Zoe is a successful author of coffee table books. Her publisher now wants her to travel the length and breadth of Yosemite National Park in order to provide their readers with useful information. Zoe enjoys being outside, but she is anxious and unsure if she will be able to this time catch all the beauty in her camera.
She meets local tour guide Jack as she looks for the ideal shot. Jack practices some unusual behavior. After some initial conflict, Jack eventually shows Zoe the true beauty of nature and several off-the-beaten-path spots in the National Park.
