Risen, a new sci-fi horror thriller from Vertical Entertainment, has released its debut trailer, which appears to be as basic and by the book as they get.
Risen, directed by Eddie Arya, is a horror film that recalls everything from Invasion of the Body Snatchers to Ridley Scott’s Alien and John Carpenter’s The Thing, encompassing all sci-fi tropes.
Its release coincides with Amazon Studios’ epic spectacle The Tomorrow War, another extraterrestrial invasion film with a similar genesis story. This simply cannot be a good idea but I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.
