Modders Are Remaking ‘Van Buren,’ The Cancelled Sequel Of Fallout: New Vegas

Once again, fans of the Fallout series have come to its rescue, as modding group The United West Team have uncovered that they’re presently dealing with “Revelation Blue”. It is said to be a remake of the Fallout sequel, Van Buren which was unfortunately cancelled due to unprecedented circumstances.

For those who are unaware, the former developer of the Fallout series, Black Isle Studios, was the studio that was working on developing Fallout’s sequel which went under the codename of Van Buren. The game was to use an engine which would be completely 3D. It would be used alongside a combination of real-time/turn-based combat functions. Unfortunately, the game was dropped from development in 2003, and the Black Isle Studios team was laid off by Interplay.

The mod will utilize trusty Fallout: New Vegas, and as per the mod’s page on Nexus Mods, the venture will incorporate everything from the base game of Fallout. The team has shared that the development of the game will stay truthful to its original story of Van Buren as much as they can. They have also spoken about how they plan on incorporating a large number of customizable features into the gameplay in the near future.

The United West Team has huge designs for the mod, including the possibility to incorporate other fanmade mods in it (with consent, obviously), just as the potential for DLC once the venture is finished (and messes with are resolved). “Revelation Blue” means to incorporate new areas, new adversaries and weapons, also.
