We offer the ideal anime series choices if you live for graphic cartoon violence. Do you even remember when you first started watching anime? Rethink that!
While many animators spend a great deal of time and effort creating stunning and intricate settings, others take the time to create the most realistic, gut-wrenching battle scenes.
Let’s speak about the grim aspects of anime, the ones that give you the impression that you are seeing a real-life scene of carnage. Here are the all-time bloodiest anime.
1. Berserk
The manga series “Berserk” was translated into an anime series called “Berserk,” which follows Guts, the Black Swordsman, on his quest to defeat enormous monsters with a blade that is greater than himself. Throughout his escapades, Guts frequently has to save people from corruption. When Guts first appears, he enters a pub to discover several thugs threatening an elf named Puck. He decimates them all while guarding Puck, who later travels with Guts on an unidentified adventure. Will the additional members of his squad ultimately damage Guts? Is he going on this expedition to look for someone?
2. Elfen Lied
Lucy is a unique type of person known as a “Diclonius.” She was subjected to cruel scientific testing by the government since she was born with a tiny set of horns and invisible telekinetic hands. The incarceration and abuse, however, have warped Lucy, and when she finally has a chance to escape, she unleashes a bloodbath on her captors.
She suffers a catastrophic brain injury during her breakout, splitting herself into two different people: a childlike personality with limited verbal abilities. In this unstable state, she meets Kouta and his cousin Yuka, two college students, who unintentionally take a wounded fugitive into their care without knowing that she has a history of murder. Their lives will be eternally changed by this act of goodwill because they are quickly drawn into the murky realm of political intrigue and conspiracy.
Elfen Lied’s conceptual difficulty caught me off guard, but ultimately, it was a really nice surprise. I always felt bad for Lucy and was relieved when she met Kouta and Yuka or anytime everything went well for her for a change. I adored the world-building, and Lucy’s overall aesthetic kept me glued to the page the entire time. Elfen Lied is definitely worth checking out!
3. Another
Misaki, a well-liked pupil at Yomiyama North Middle School’s class 3-3, passed away unexpectedly in the middle of the academic year in 1972. The instructor and pupils were so distraught by the death that they acted as though Misaki were still present, which created an odd presence in the graduation picture. Kichi Sakakibara joins Yomiyama’s class 3-3 in the spring of 1998, when he meets Mei Misaki, a shy student that both their classmates and instructor appear to neglect.
The class quickly becomes involved in a weird phenomena in which pupils and their family members start passing away in sometimes horrifying ways. Kichi and Mei try to figure out how to stop it before it kills any more of their classmates or them after realising that these killings are connected to the “Misaki of 1972,” an annual catastrophe that has nearly always affected every class 3-3 since 1972.
Because I saw this anime as a roller coaster from beginning to end, I found it to be entertaining. The characters were continuously shifting and altering along with the fast-moving narrative, so I never knew what would happen next. As violence often hits harder when it is coupled with fast-paced storytelling, this served to truly accentuate the violent aspect of it. I believe the voice actors did an amazing job with the tale and characters they were given to deal with, and I truly liked the characters.
4. Hellsing Ultimate
There are terrible and dark creatures who prowl the night and consume any unlucky people who fall into their clutches. Hellsing, a group committed to eradicating these supernatural powers that imperil humanity’s very survival, is on the opposing side. Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, its leader, leads a formidable army and spends her entire life battling the undead.
The vampire Alucard, who works as an exterminator for Hellsing, is Integra’s ultimate weapon, and it is far more powerful than her sizable army. Alucard must fight not just demons but also anybody who stands in Hellsing’s way, whether they are acting in good or evil, with the help of his new vampire servant, Seras Victoria.
Hellsing Ultimate demonstrates that appearances are not always what they seem and that one’s darkest nightmare may occasionally be the greatest weapon in a fight for humanity’s survival.
I honestly like this other vampire anime than Shiki. I preferred the idea more, thought the animation was better done, and believed the characters had a little more nuance. After all, Van Helsing has long been considered the greatest vampire hunter and enemy. I always believed that the plot had greater depth and that the violence was handled far more tastefully. All in all, here is another fantastic vampire anime for you.
5. Blood C
A shrine maiden with a weight on her shoulders serves as the central character in the horror and action series “Blood-C.” Saya Kisaragi is your typical clumsy high school kid by day. Saya Kisaragi worries about more than just her studies at night. Saya pledged to destroy any monster that threatens her little hamlet with a heavenly sword that her Priest Father had given her.
Saya experiences headaches and flashbacks as more and more creatures encroach on the community and she begins to question her lost memories. One day, a little dog comes up to Saya and inquires as to whom she pledged to defend everyone. She pauses, unable to provide a response. And soon the reality about her early life becomes clear…
6. Corpse Party: Tortured Souls
To say goodbye to a buddy, nine kids assemble at their high school late at night. They undertake a ceremony, as is usual among many high school students, using little paper charms in the form of dolls to ensure that they will always be friends.
The pupils are unaware that these charms are related to Heavenly Host Academy, an elementary school that was demolished years ago following a string of horrifying murders and which is located beneath the grounds of their own Kisaragi Academy. The kids must cooperate to escape a parallel reality where vengeful ghosts of the past are confined, or they will eternally join the spirits of the damned.
Corpse Party: Tortured Souls – Bougyakusareta Tamashii no Jukyou is a feast for mystery lovers, bloodhounds, and horror enthusiasts alike. It offers a sobering look at sacrifice, atonement, and how the past is always right behind, sometimes a bit too near for comfort.
I believe that Corpse Party is appropriately graphic. Its graphic animation not only suits the narrative being conveyed, but it also ties in with the common theme of all of these shows: murder. The fact that this also occurs at a high school, as well as the fact that I believe the plot to be really original and amusing. The characters are unexpectedly likeable and the atmosphere is spooky and strong. Consequently, it is sad when individuals begin dying.
7. Gantz
A homeless guy had fallen onto the subway tracks, and Kei Kurono was in the middle of it. At the same metro stop, a former classmate of his emerges out of nowhere and decides to assist this homeless man. Masarou Katou, one of his friends, cries out Kurono’s name. Everyone is watching Kurono because, if he doesn’t assist his buddy and the homeless guy, he would be seen as being self-centered and disregarding the welfare of others, but, if he does help, both he and his friend risk dying.
He and his pal eventually wind up being decapitated in the middle of the subway floor and are then taken to an afterlife where a large black ball playing God plays God in a room full of strangers. The characters Kei and Masarou in “Gantz” must overcome their principles and ethics in order to please this godlike person who is giving them a “second chance” at life. In this gory anime, the adage “You Only Live Once” does not apply.
