Now, Netflix will breathe life back into this franchise with its upcoming animated series ‘Pacific Rim: The Black’. The show has two seasons fixed as of now, and Netflix has released a trailer, giving us a peek into what we can expect. The one-minute clip begins with an ominous announcement of Kaijus having taken over Australia and the city following an evacuation protocol as a result. We see siblings Hayley and Taylor putting on their armours in what looks like an attempt for them to save the world. As sister Hayley asks what they should do now, Taylor responds with “initiate the drift.” This process allows the pilot of a Jaegar to bond their thoughts and memories with the robot to act as one and function smoothly as they exterminate Kaijus.
