    New Horror Anthology, ‘Horror Noire’ Will Send A Chill Down Your Spine

    Shudder will follow up their critically praised 2019 documentary Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror with an original anthology series featuring Black horror stories by Black filmmakers and screenwriters. During its Comic-Con@Home event, the new series debuted a concept teaser, which can be seen below, as well as a premiere date of October 14.

    On October 14, 2021, Horror Noire will premiere on Shudder and through the Shudder offering under the AMC+ package.

    “Horror Noire” showcases new work from known and up-and-coming filmmakers, as well as Black horror stories from Black directors and screenwriters. It has stories by Tananarive Due and Steven Barnes, as well as Ezra C. Daniels, Victor LaValle, Shernold Edwards, and Emmy-winner Al Letson, an illustrator and graphic novelist.

    They understood there was a big untapped pool of great Black horror stories that needed to be told when they viewed the first edit of our Horror Noire documentary, and an extraordinarily creative bunch of writers and directors ready to tell them, said Shudder General Manager Craig Engler. While the documentary looked back at the history of Black horror, this anthology will introduce audiences to amazing new stories and characters in the future.

    Swirl Films is producing “Horror Noire,” with Eric Tomosunas, the company’s founder, and Ron Robinson serving as Executive Producers.

    A trailer has been released for the Anthology and you must take a look at it if you want to get a glimpse into the horrific world that has been constructed by the fine writers involved in the creation of this Anthology. This drops in October, right in time for some Halloween season fright time! There are a bunch of stories and various new characters for us to see. Keep an eye out for it!
