The aesthetically spectacular docuseries Patagonia: Life on the Edge of the World, a CNN Original Series, will take viewers to South America when it debuts on Sunday, July 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. This captivating series, which is being produced by Plimsoll Productions and is being narrated by Chilean-born actor Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian, Game of Thrones), examines the wonders of one of the last uninhabited regions on earth, the remote region of Patagonia in South America.
Patagonia is a region unlike any other, being wild, remote, undeveloped, and spanning more than a thousand kilometers through Chile and Argentina. Pumas, penguins, condors, and killer whales are just a few of the famous animals that inhabit this area. Every year, new bug, bird, and even mammal species are also found here. Patagonia: Life on the Edge of the World transports viewers to Patagonia’s diverse and breathtaking landscapes over the course of six engrossing episodes. Viewers travel along its coastline from wind-blown deserts to pristine fjordlands, from deep within its mysterious, ancient forests up to the high peaks of the Andes.
This immersive docuseries highlights the wildlife, the scientists who study it, and the locals who have adapted to exist in these diverse settings with the use of cutting-edge cameras and assistance from local specialists, giving them unparalleled access. The CNN Original Series, which was shot over the course of an epic year, shows what it takes to exist at the edge of the planet. You’ve never seen Patagonia like this before.
James Smith and Martha Holmes from Plimsoll Productions, as well as Amy Entelis and Lyle Gamm from CNN Original Series, are the executive producers of Patagonia: Life on the Edge of the World. The show will routinely appear on CNN on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
