    All of us can relate to this new manga called –“Play It Cool, Guys”, being students. Somewhere as students, all of us have faced that so-called “cool” group in the school, which cannot help bragging about themselves.

    Extremely frustrating is the right word that can describe the feeling of being around them. Play It Cool, Guys is exactly the manga that will make you familiar with the feeling again. Taking us back in the days, when we faced the attitude of that particular group in school, who pretends to be intimidating.

    Play It Cool, Guys is a Japanese web manga. Kokone Nata is responsible for writing it and completing the illustration. The writer has written a total of four individual volumes and published them online on Pixiv- which is a Japanese website for artists. The first publication was done in 2019. In the manga, we come across major characters like- Hayate Ichikura, Shun Futami, Takayuni Mima, and Souma Shiki.

    These four boys from the main lead. The cool group of the school. The characters are shown to a possess superiority complex and prefer to hang out within themselves. Considering them as people who are better than everyone else. But as we dive into the plot it is revealed, that they are nothing but a bunch of stupid kids. The sad and fun part is that the guys are at lack this realization.

    An anime will follow the manga. The announcement has been made on April 22, 2022. Makoto Uezu will be looking after the scripts. The episodes are to be estimated at around 15 mins. The director for the series is Chiaki Kon and Pierrot is looking after the production. The anime will release this October 2022. The manga has gained a license in North America for publication by Yen Press.

    Souma Shiki will be seen as a lean and tall character who will be playing the role of a college student. Though playing the clown, he has self-realization. He lives with his elder brother and works part-time at a café owned by Futami’s sister. Shouya Chiba will be acting as his voice artist.

    The other male lead is Hayate Ichikura, a 20-year-old college student. A sophomore, he looks after himself by working in a café in Takayuki’s sister café. After every scam, he feels embarrassed. Koki Uchiyama will give voice to this character.

    Another lead is Takayuki Mima. He lacks totally in his personality. He’s well built and doesn’t care much about anything. Shoya Chiba will be acting as a voice artist.

    Last and the youngest is Shun Futami, who is a 1-year-old high student. The stud of his school is handsome with sharp features. Throughout the manga, he can’t stop bluffing. The voice actor for this role is Yuichiro Umehara

    The plot is set straight and simple. The storyline follows a simple narration. In the anime, the fans will come across their favorite bunch of boys, who though are represented as superior to else, are in reality a bunch of spoiled kids, who err on every small act.

    The protagonist is always found clumsy, and unable to perform any task with perfection. After every mistake, a new excuse is presented. Though it’s the excuses and the mistakes that will make the fans laugh their hearts out. The anime is expected to serve best as a product that will be fun to watch with its light characters and setting. The plot is very familiar and relatable.

    The characters are also set using a varied tone. The fans will come across dynamic personalities.  Hakone has again managed to sketch characters that are fulfilling to fans. The characters come from highly different backgrounds. None of them shares the same background, except for the fact, that they have one thing in common, which is- their clumsy behavior filled with a superiority complex.

    Talking about the art, the characters are drawn using various bright colors. The manga is loaded with colors. The same is expected to be seen in manga. The anime will be a perfect shot for all those viewers who enjoy comedy and light comics.
