The drama series covers the lives and loves of the adult Bordelon siblings and stars Rutina Wesley, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, Kofi Siriboe, Nicholas Ashe, Tina Lifford, Omar J. Dorsey, Ethan Hutchison, Bianca Lawson, and Tammy Townsend. Following a family tragedy, they attempt to salvage the family’s sugarcane field.
This fall, the highly acclaimed drama series “Queen Sugar” will make its OWN debut with its seventh and final season. Ava DuVernay, the show’s creator and executive producer, will be among the returning ensemble of all-star directors. The last episode of the ARRAY Filmworks and Warner Bros. Emmy nominees Tracie Thoms and Sharon Lawrence, who play Nova’s long-lost high school love and Charley Bordelon’s mother Lorna, respectively, and Emmy winner Greg Vaughan, who played Nova’s former partner, are notable guest stars. Vanessa Bell Calloway (“This Is Us,” “Shameless”) is another notable guest star. Parker Campbell, the family enemy played by Amirah Vann, and Toine, the former buddy and current police officer of Ralph Angel, played by Brian Michael.
Naomi and Greenleaf stars Kaci Walfall and Lamman Rucker are joined by other recurring cast members Reagan Gomez, who plays Nova’s ex-girlfriend Chantal; Grammy Award winner Ann Nesby, who plays Sandy, the at-home nurse who catches Prosper Denton’s attention, Tanyell Waivers, who plays Micah’s ex-girlfriend Keke, McKinley Freeman, who plays Nova’s anthropologist boyfriend Dominic, and Vivien Ngô, Ralph Angel’s ex-girlfriend Trinh.”
