The second interactive special from British explorer and television host Bear Grylls for Netflix features Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. The programme, titled Ranveer vs. Wild with Bear Grylls, would utilise the same interactive style as Grylls’ prior Netflix series, You vs. Wild, which in turn drew inspiration from Grylls’ most well-liked survival reality series, Man vs. Wild. On Friday, the special received its first teaser.
As usual, Grylls and his visitor are forced to survive on their wits and skills in the midst of a dangerous environment. Singh is stranded in the middle of a jungle in the 40-second teaser, with Grylls and several wild creatures for company. Similar to Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, Ranveer vs. Wild is an interactive special in which viewers may make choices for Singh. When under peril, he has a variety of options, including dancing and practical survival strategies like playing dead.
As we watch images of the actor scaling rocks and eluding dangerous animals, Singh commands the audience in Hindi, “Press the button, and save my life.” As we transition to further images of the two, allegedly zip line between two mountains, Grylls remarks, “Ranveer better get the entire adventure.” What am I going to do? The lunatic did it with ease. As Singh watches Grylls perform a risky stunt, he asks rhetorically in Hindi. Singh is seen lying on the ground with a bear sniffing around his body in the final image of the teaser. We can only hope that he avoids receiving the Hugh Glass treatment.
Grylls has already included an Indian celebrity on one of his broadcasts. Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Rajinikanth have all made guest appearances in Into the Wild special episodes. On a unique Man vs. Wild episode, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an appearance.

Ranveer, an Indian actor, fashion star, dancer, and rapper, pushes his limits and learns survival skills in the teaser for his upcoming film Ranveer vs. Wild with Bear Grylls, which depicts him stumbling into the wilderness in search of a rare flower for his girlfriend.
Viewers will be able to choose the direction of his quest, similar to the interactive Black Mirror episode “Bandersnatch” from 2018. On July 8, the programme will be available globally on Netflix.

In order to find a rare flower for his lady love in the harsh forests of Serbia, Ranveer journeys into the wild, fending for himself, and learning new survival skills as the audience gets to choose the direction of his antics. Ranveer, after all, never backs down from a challenge, and he leaves no stone unturned when it comes to affairs of the heart.
The Natural Studios, a joint venture between Grylls and Banijay that he formed in 2020, and Banijay Asia are producing the special together.
High-grossing Hindi-language films by Singh include Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, and Simmba.
