What is Re:cycle of the Penguindrum’s main plot?
The Takakura family is central to the plot of ‘Re:cycle of the Penguindrum.’ Unfortunately, there were no parents or grownups in the family. The core storyline of ‘Re:cycle of the Penguindrum’ illustrates the struggle lives of Kanba and Shouma, two twin brothers striving to care for their unhealthy and sick younger sister, Himari, the story strike the perfect balance between pure, innocent joy and heartbreaking, devastating despair. It’s sad to see Himari’s condition deteriorate.
Himari had lost trust in life as a concept. It was almost as if she had a premonition that her fate and destiny would take her to an untimely demise. The hospital allowed her to leave the premises for a short time on the day she felt a little better so she could go back and explore her city. Kanba and Shouma were overjoyed and decided to take Himari to the aquarium. Nonetheless, she feels dizzy and falls to the ground, passing out. Himari finds she has been revived by a magical penguin hat from the aquarium’s souvenir shop as she wakes up.
Himari notices a shift in herself after that day. Had she been blessed in some way? Was it possible that a miracle had changed her fate? She was certain that a supernatural entity had entered her body and was assisting her in her recovery and healing.
Nonetheless, that creature pushed Kanba and Shouma to embark on a hazardous quest in search of the mythical “Penguin Drum.” During their journey, the two brothers are forced to overcome a number of challenges. They also have to revisit childhood traumas that their mind had hidden. Despite this, they make it their life’s mission to locate the “Penguin Drum” so that people can choose their own fate!
